This offensive group isn't the "worst in 20 years". FFS.. Have you forgotten 2005 when they had the carousel at RB? Or 2006?

The Pats have 4 Veteran RBs and an unused 2nd year guy who, quite possibly could relegate Burkhead to the bench.

The WRs should be HEALTHY now.

The O-Line should be better than last year with the return of Andrews and the additions of Froholdt and Cajuste

The fact that it's F'in April and your whining and moaning about the state of the offense is really ridiculous..
So let’s compare to 2001.
OL light andruzzi woody Compton robinsonrandall
Vs
Wynn Thuney Andrews mason cannon

you will have a hard time convincing me 2001 was better.

RB
Smith Faulk (barely used) Redmond
vs
Michel white burkhead
better now

TE
Wiggins and Rutledge
Vs
The rookies

can the rookies really be worse?

wr
Brown patten Coleman
Vs
Edelman Harry Sanu
Clearly better now

so it’s down to a second year QB We knew nothing about who played well then went on the become the goat Vs a second year an we know nothing about with the only commonality being bb believed he could win with them

Now don’t get me wrong. Winning and WINNING (meaning SBs) are 2 incredibly different things. Many QBs could approximate the GOAT but what makes him the GOAT is making the plays that decide games incredibly more often than anyone else ever.
But to just contend he never had to be the GOAT. We have won many games where brady could have played poorly and we still won. This franchise would have won a lot of games the last 20 years with an average qb it just wouldn’t have won the important ones that turned contender into the greatest dynasty ever.

Two seriously high upside picks in the first two picks, a solid potential future starter in Jennings and whilst the TEs aren’t special (none in the class were really), they look to be complimentary and have some upside.
Hope you’re right on the TEs. I think they are mediocre relative to this years TEs. I’ll have to watch them a bit, but they seem similar more than complimentary to me. Only one can live kind of thing between the two of them. Don’t like the Bama pick. Hope I’m wrong. Agree totally on the first 2 picks.

The evidence over 20 years says yes. And we got to 10 wins last year with some of the most wretched offensive talent I have EVER seen.

  • Last year's team featured a TE1 that the team cut just before the season because it didn't think the player was good enough to even be on the team, and had to bring back weeks later, as that TE1.
  • Last year's team feature WRs getting dumped all over the place, and getting replaced by WRs who had no business being on the field as rookies.
  • Last year's team featured an OL that was comprised of a bunch of players who were injured, and a missing center.
  • Last year's team featured a very important FB position that was devastated to the point that a backup LB had to take over the role.

And Brady helped get that team to 12-4. Now we're supposed to believe that he's, at best, 2 games better than a QB who's a second year player, taken in the fourth round, and basically never played a down in the league.

Anything's possible in life. This just isn't very likely.

Ok, now talk about their WR3 and 4 (they stunk) their elite TE (Watson lead them with 22/209 and 2 TDs) and their starting RB (Sammy Morris bc Maroney sucked then was put IR), not to mention their aging defense that suffered multiple significant injuries and mediocre (at best) CB group.
RANDY MOSS AND WES WELKER. Enough ****ing said. Stop you are making a massive joke out of yourself.

Asiasi in-line, Keanu move TE? Same as gronk/murderer? In role not talent level.

Keene is actually the taller and more athletic of the two.

Murderer was shorter than Gronk. He was faster, but not as strong.

I have the impression that we overpayed for the trades.. Would like to see the value of the picks.. Anyone has it?

It has nothing to do with politics. I just hate the fakeness of it all. We all appreciate people making sacrifices right now but we don’t run around praising them nonstop merely for attention.
This is the NFL. They just got Bud to sponsor booing Goodell. Fakeness is their thing.

I was talking about role not measurements.

We were 12-4??? Holy **** I must have blocked that season out my memory I thought we had less wins than that.

Did Adam Trautman (aka the 2nd-best TE in the Entire Feckin Draft) piss on Little Old Billy's puppy-dog or something?

What an absolutely feckin Horrible display of asset management on display tonight...Just feckin disgraceful...No feckin 4th-rounders at all now...Inexcusable...

Thank you for proving, yet again, that no one should listen to you when it comes to BB and the draft.

Today’s defense is much better

I will admit that I’ve not studied the players this year and am going on what is being said about them on Twitter and that my giddiness is influenced by not being invested in particular binkies this year.

I think this draft could be something like 2013 where we got Collins-Ryan-Harmon. I would absolutely take that. Three significant contributors is a successful draft.

First one was dead even in assigned value.

I hoping we use both in various ways. Keene is a demon in space. A little muscle could go a long way to helping him square up ane sustain inline. He's not bad or poor. I think he can be a good enough inline blocker and + stalk blocker/blocking in space. He has some dog to him. Some nasty. He'll play past the whistle. Effort is ++ and has decent size around 250. That's half the battle. Lets get him in a program, practice for a year and I think he's a good player.

I'm not looking for Gronk & Hernandez.

I'm looking for + blocking all around from different positions. 375-500 yards/5-7 TDs. If they can do that from different positions the picks are hits.

If Keene has the upside that Kyed mentioned, then he was a steal at the end of the 3rd round. That being said. I'd be happy if both turn into solid players for the next 4 years.

Honest question which of the 12 wins last year would have been losses with average Qb play?

Don’t know about the final trade but the other three were almost exactly in line with the trade chart.

I just don’t see terrible in their immediate future provided the oline stays healthy. Honestly believe the run game will improve drastically with Andrews back and if these two te’s can block at the next level. Stidham needs to be good. Not great, but better than decent. Not winning a championship but 9-7 10-6 is not out of the question.

The saints gave up four picks to move up so I can't be that mad. Although I wish we had taken the TE from Dayton like they did.
