Jordy Nelson or Brandon Marshall.

I would LOVE for them to draft Pittman. I think he's going to be a great pro. 23 is too high for him so they would have to pick up a second in order to have a chance. I'd be very surprised if he makes it to the third round.

gotta think Herbert is who patriots want. checks all the boxes BB looks for. hopefully he slips past 10 and we can maybe get him

Based upon.....??

Maybe I missed a report from a source with a legit track record but all I have seen about Herbert and the Pats is generic "they really like him" (no different from the unsubstantiated reports about their love for Josh Rosen), along with one or two mocks drafts are based on fantasy scenarios. It would take a lot of draft current and future draft capital to go from 23 to the low teens. I guess it's theoretically possible because if you're going to trade up 10+ spots on the first it should be for a quarterback, but I haven't seen any evidence or reliable reports that would indicate that your "gotta think" is correct.

Only Burrow or Tua look to have a chance at being better than Stidham. The others look way overrated and don't throw better than Stidham.

Interesting debate.

Really unpolished routes and way too many unnecessary steps and wasted motion. Guess if the intent of this video is to suggest, “yeah, but, imagine if he’s fully healthy” it leaves a little more to the imagination.

I'd be fine with Kmet at 23. I don't care about rankings, it would fill a huge need.
Fills a need if he's good. There seems to be a lot of feeling that he isn't much more than another JAG.

Kmet going in the 1st in general would be a bit of a surprise IMO.

I’m thinking that it’s gotta be either front seven or safety. Both would make sense.

Final guess is that we won't make a selection in the first round. They will trade down to close the big gap between the first round pick and the rest.

If things fall a certain way maybe they trade back into the end of the first round to secure a specific player / that fifth year option. Day 2 could become twice as interesting though.

I’m thinking that it’s probably 50/50 in terms of a trade re: Thuney. I think the team has more holes and needs than you do and I think they need to take a first round pick to get that 5th year option. I think we could see 4 solid picks in the top three rounds either way.

Been here for a while now. They all easily could go top 10 but it's the draft and the unknown will absolutely happen.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Trautman or Kmet go Rd1 either. After the top 10-15 it gets very murky here. I guy like Pittman isn't that far off from Mims, probably ahead of him on some boards. So if Mims os getting 1st Rd love, you know Pittman isn't far behind or again even ahead of him. Guys like Logan Wilson, ADG, Willie Gay will go a lot eariler than some think.

Reminder when looking at Pats drafts ...

Bill drafts a prospect when value meets need. BPA is a factor but not nearly as much as other teams. Everyone drafts for need. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Value + need if you go back and look at our drafts. Old drafts, new ones. Can't deny it.

Bill loves drafting teammates. 12 times over his tenure here I believe. Bill doesn't mind going back to a school he hit up the previous year(s) and has a thing for drafting teammates. Probably has something to do with making the most of a scouts time.

"No surprises" Bill doesn't want surprises. He values steady, solid & knowing what he's getting > upside/talent etc... Very few of those picks throughout the rounds, throughout the history of his tenure. "Win now" as opposed to projects for the future. You'll see more guys like Hightower, Mayo, Sony, Wynn, Wilfork, Wino, Wise than Chandler Jones, Collins etc

I am not sure we are that far apart on holes on the team. But as with most drafts I assume that most of the blue chips will be gone after the first 10-12 picks and the following 50-60 players really are not magnitudes away from each other so I prefer multiple picks over an early one.

Especially since we are heading into a rebuild. But then again whatever the board tells you to do.. you do.

I think we’re either moving up (surprise trade) or moving back in the draft. Don’t think we’ll stand pat @ 23.

Pats visited with more WR and TE than any other team: 18/38 of their visits.
