Yup, BK could have bent the fans over like Woody Johnson did to Jet fans.
It was the Woody & Goody Show. Goodell temporarily waived the long standing temperature rule for the SB to give the game to his former team. The fans fell for it hook, line and sinker.
I took a walk yesterday on the beach. A lot of people within responsible distances, lots of masks, nobody jogging. It was nice. A lot of people are going to be laughing at Texas and Florida but I’d bet good money that our cases still won’t touch New York’s 3 weeks from today.Jacksonville Florida beaches back open.
Texas and Alabama making moves this week. Let my people go.

The beaches are open from 6 am - 11 am and then from 5 pm - 8 pm. Those are not exactly prime beach-going hours. And the CNN reports were way, way, WAY overblown. People kept their distance from people they didn’t know. This thing isn’t airborne. Furthermore, there is scientific evidence of it dying in heat and humidity. Wear a mask, sunglasses, practice good hygiene, and you’ll be fine. For God’s sake, at some point people need to realize that the hysteria is worse than the actual virus itself. How will they compare with Texas' and Florida's potential if they had not opened them?
It's great to hear that there are signs of a sense of self-preservation on Florida's beaches. Looks pretty cavalier to me to even open them, with or without what the right would be crying is "virtue signalling" by local law enforcement, etc.
Best of luck.
With all due respect to anyone who has had some die of this in NYC, this is nature at work. NYC is badly overcrowded. At some point, nature was going to go to work to curb that overpopulation.New York's population density combined with it being an international hub made it an unavoidable target. I doubt any city in the US will touch New York's numbers especially now that everyone is taking the virus seriously.
Yeah. It’s a pandemic. Cases will be on the rise until they aren’t anymore. People will continue to die from it until they don’t anymore. Society shouldn’t cease to function because of this.Meanwhile, in other news... cases in FL are still on the rise. But who cares?
It was very very very huge huge hugeGodell did the same for Minnesota.
Like being at the North Pole.
Or at least...let s hope...because you know that i am not so sure this is the right way to attack the virus at the momentThe beaches are open from 6 am - 11 am and then from 5 pm - 8 pm. LMAO, another thing I noticed on a lot of these news sites that are criticizing Jacksonville Beach for reopening and then showing overhead shots of how packed the beach is are using shots with a full pier. The Jax Beach pier was destroyed by Hurricane Matthew.
Where ?Jacksonville Florida beaches back open.

Oh yeah they definitely used old pictures to make it look worse than it was. It’s a joke. I’ve been fishing the last couple of weekends. I’m almost out of projects to do except for a new nursery for our baby but I have 8 months to do that. Boat ramps were busy but people were smart and you have to wait in line and keep your distance anyway. I would love to go to the sand bar but I don’t think that’s a good idea right now. Those are tight squeezes. When the uproar started yesterday about FL beaches by folks disdainful of their perceived inferiors I went to the local FL Sky Cam
Jacksonville Skycams | WJAX-TV
Somehow missing the crowds pictured in the news photos. Newsroom must have posted stock photos.
Beaches still closed here on West coast Manatee county, but the boat launches were just opened up. Low income families without private docks can now go fishing just like the "beautiful people". I drove by and checked it out on the way back from the island supermarket. No crowds of people but lots of boat trailers.
I do fully support the county closing nearby Beer Can Island, a party island flooded by morons before closure.
please STFU ....try it for one day..PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!How will they compare with Texas' and Florida's potential if they had not opened them?

We'll see but I think people are taking this a lot more serious than they were a few months ago. Some activities will be easier to maintain social distancing measures than others. Walking on the beach and golfing seem like no brainers.
