Sorry, but this kinda pisses me off.

We all knew it was happening. This is why, assuming Stidham is competent on the field, that our offense could slightly improve, but our 2nd year "rookie" busts should definitely look better.

Meyers looked promising when playing with Stidham last pre-season and then couldn't get Tommy to give him a glance.

Sounds like the last time you listened to Stern was 20 years ago.
That's just about the last time I listened to him...and (a) I don't plan to listen this time but (b) I don't have any issue with Brady going on his show either.

Pre-season dude, gtfoh. There was at least one game Brady targeted Myers 10 times. Some people just repeat garbage they read on twitter.

"If you put him out there, I'm not going to throw him the ball..." - Tom Brady when asked by Howard Stern if there were times he went to Belichick and said 'get this guy off the field'.

I saw times at training camp years ago where TFB would get disgusted with a WR and waived him off the field, e.g. Chad Jackson. This is not just a 2019 behavior.

Historical aside: noticing Tom's utter disgust at Chad in training camp and Chad responding by yucking it up day after day, I started a thread here opining that Chad was a Bust. It was not well received.

Those busts went on to tear up the NFL.

Sorry, I'm not trying to sound snarky, but Chad Jackson, Dobson, Taylor Price, and several more busted all over the NFL.

Whereas Mitchell, Deion Branch, David Givens, had success with Brady. In fact, branch and Givens had more success with Brady than they did when he left. Mitchell ws great as a rookie with Brady--Mitchell in fact was THE KEY to the Falcons Super Bowl comeback.

For me the proof is in the pudding. If these players never amounted to anything on any other team and with any other QB, it's not because of Brady. It's because THEY WEREN'T GOOD.

Brady is renting out Arods crib in Tampa for $40,000 per month.

8 car garage, just half the house is bigger than a barn, on the water of course (looks like a channel) I reckon the that Bradys are building a house of their very own.
No, I think he's going the rental route in Jeter's house (20 minute drive from the team's practice facilities).

Not buying in Tampa is (a) probably smart because the Florida market will probably tank with the Recession and (b) pretty much a sign that he's not planning on making a permanent home in the state. New York, Montana, Costa Rica, Rio or Sao Paulo and probably eventually another place near LA...I think those are probably good bets.

Even a busted clock is right twice a day. :D:D:D

It's pre-season though so you can't put much stock into it. Defenses are running basic concepts, etc.

That said everyone is a year more experienced. The offense will likely be simpler but due to that the 2nd year players (and any rookies or new WRs added this year) will have an easier time. Meyers, Harry etc will have a higher chance to "look" better though the offense overall probably has a lower ceiling since they are not well-versed in the complexity of it all that was the key to the team's success at times over the years. That's not to say that they can't get there eventually, though. They're all sophomores.

Brady gave him plenty of glances. Meyers was a rookie playing in the most complicated offense in the NFL and one of his mistakes helped lead to a red zone INT.

I know the Giselle-Yoko posts are coming soon, but of course they've been married for over a decade and through 3 Super Bowl victories, and no one knows the dynamic of a bachelor Brady being influenced by Tara Reid or whoever and what that looks like, as opposed to the stability of Giselle holding down the fort for so many years. But the Giselle-Yoko posts are coming. We all know it.

Both Meyers and Harry were definitely underwater in regards to the playbook last year. I like them both from a talent perspective but they weren't anywhere close to where Brady really needed them to be. We'll see how things go now with a likely slightly simplified scheme and a QB who is learning along with them.

Yeah me too. I hope Stidham is better than that if he is good enough to stick here.

You see them installing a new offense? Not arguing one way or another, but it's definitely an intriguing story line. I can see arguments for both keeping the E-P or for going with more of a West Coast offense for which Stidham might be a better fit.

Will some rich Patriot fan step up to buy the house Brady rented and lived in or will it forever have the Jeter stank that keeps New Englanders buyers away?

No, I don't think they'll move away from EP but I think they will do what they can to water it down a little for the short term. If they can. I can't imagine them moving away from it either though I guess they could.

I think they will do what they were hoping to do last year before the injuries hit- bring back the power run game that pretty much carried them to a championship in 18.

IMHO, he’s kind of making an ass of himself. A lot of the constraints that were supposedly placed on him actually helped him to appear above the fray. Now, he’s acting like a newly divorced housewife who got lipo and wants to work at Hooters
I thought this was the Brady people wanted to see? Haven’t people been annoyed about how careful and closed off he is about these things? It should be refreshing to see him being honest and open here.

In regard to refusing to throw to some of the players Belichick put on the field? Name me one guy he froze out who later had a career or even became
more than an end of the bench JAG? Seems like he knew a garbage, unreliable receiver when he saw one.

I still feel like Thuney is going to be traded. Mason has been up-and-down in pass pro but he's a road-grader in the run game so being run-focused hopefully limits the impact of a Thuney loss. I do like Damien Harris... I wonder what they could fetch for Thuney. I do think they want to come up with some way to get a 2nd round pick again.

Being run-focused makes sense to me but they really do need to get better at TE. I guess they could use an extra OL.
