Brady gone

And what was Brady to do when he realized that the team didn't want him? If BB wanted Brady to be the QB, he would have started to negotiate with Brady and his agent long before free agency started. The Pats were the only team who could legally talk to him before free agency. So it's not like they didn't have time. We will never know exactly what happened. They were able to get McCourty under contract before free agency. They could have done the same for Brady if they were interested. Or it could be simply that Brady was ready to move on. Maybe the team was ready to move on. It could be a little of both. Something broke down thats for sure. We will never know for sure. All we can do is accept it.
Bradshaw can say what he wants, makes no difference. Won't change a thing.
Seems local fandom is insistent that because only one contact between player and coach was publicized then only one contact between organization and Team Brady ever was attempted or occurred.

Another puzzling narrative that I have difficulty believing: Brady wanting SF.
Talk about a difficult call for Don Yee....
“Hello SF, I want you to jettison my client Jimmy G to make room for my other client Tom Brady”

Brady quoted today as avoiding the question of whether he wanted to change teams and leave new England... " After career is over I'll look back at it..."

Why is it still a question? Change of scenery after 20 years in 2020... TB to TB. 50 million guaranteed. Sunshine , golf courses, beaches.. bubye. Gotta go. My wifey still looks great in her bikini. Hehe.. ;)

In 2001 he had a great run game enabling opportunities for passes to Brown & Patten.
And yes, Wiggins as a TE was better than the entire 2019 TE corpse.

That is true. Rewatched Brady’s debut vs Colts. Smith was an absolute beast! Better than LgB in his peak here imo.

Brady clearly had the reins on him then. But he wasn’t very good last year by any stretch, for a variety of reasons.

Not only that but think of the pressure... Most fans there in SF were in support of the young guy.

There was so much to lose there. Super bowl or bust. Not for 43 year old playing senior tour. . Tampa Bay is a soft landing. Try hard but if it fails , oh well...

But the upside is that the lower pressure option should facilitate success.. we shall see..

Nah, he knows deep onside this may very fail for multiple reasons. It was already going to be tough going to a new team, especially a laid back Arians squad. Now add in the distinct possibility that the offseason programs will be cancelled, and you have a recipe for disaster. You can Facetime all you want, go up to Montana and throw the ball around all you want. No coaches. No defense even in shells. Nope, first snap with the entire offense may be first day of TC, whenever that occurs if it even occurs.

I heard his interview. Sounded about as upbeat as I did the day after my dog died. Hell I was probably more chipper than he seemed today.

I'm concerned like everyone about this offseason.. but we all don't know how it plays out.

Trump is itching to get things back to quasi normal. To me it's about people developing safe ways to function using gloves masks , distance, ventilation, temperature, everything that adds safety.

Then we'll see. But I'm talking about his daily life. Probly..... He will get a waterfont bungalow near innasbrook cc. Palm harbor area.. wakey 6am. Coffee.. snacks to course play 9 holes on pga track. Home take wife and kids for swim in ocean. Afteenoon delight . Take nap in AC. Massage. Throw footballs with Tampa teammates in evening coolness.
Sleep.. repeat. Alternate days with trips to new York to visit , but son will come to Tampa also . Work on his golf game.

Point is Florida is better for this lifestyle so Brady is making the right move. I think it's semi retirement.. haha.

His last great season was 2017 when he won the MVP and played a great Super Bowl vs. Philly. His numbers have gone down since, whether it's due to lack of weapons or injuries.

We get it he’s a scrub the better question is what you and SB1 would’ve said if we resigned him, it for sure this malarkey that’s being said.

Brady is at about 86,000 yards overall. He might hit 100,000.

249 wins overall. 300 seems pretty far off but not impossible. 12-13 wins for four years.

No way he hits either. Tampa isn't going to win 12 games in a season, nor do that for 4 years in a row. He'd also need to throw 4000 yards for 3-4 years in a row which is also unlikely.

My 5 year old this morning said he had a dream and saw Tom Brady walking onto a football field. Almost made me tear up:(

Don Yee had to navigate a pretty interesting series of land mines to avoid a conflict of interest over the past several years....

Were there any talks about retiring Patriots #12? I would assume nobody should ever wear this number for the Pats again.

Has Don Yee ever done anything decent for Brady? Terrible team-friendly contracts that ultimately angered Brady, horrible strategy during Deflategate, highly underwhelming free agency.

What I believed happened back in 2013 or whenever Brady signed his first below market contract is Kraft made it clear to him over that 18 month period of negotiation that if he didn't start taking less that BB would move on from him. Brady decided he wanted to stay to win more titles so BB let him at his price. Not sure how much to blame Yee in any of that.

Brady will have buyer's remorse if the league starts on time because July and August are brutal here. It's steamy++ and it seems like thunderstorms with tremendous lightning pop up every day. Just driving a car during one can be life threatening because you can't see where you're going. They also have "Florida ice" when the rainy season starts, all the oil dripping from vehicles during the dry season, and tires that have melted onto highways, liquefy when the high temps and downpours start. Buyer beware Tommy boy.

Where has anyone said he was a scrub?

I wonder if he drives .. the team must have schedule to work around the weather. Then there's the hurricane chance of force 5 making landfall. This year has been a disaster so its more likely.... o_O

Many of us have lived or live in the South. There are many reasons why so many people prefer to live in FL instead of MA. Few would choose Boston over Tampa because of the occasional hurricane in Tampa.
