Brady gone

One thing that stands out to me looking back is Belichick’s decision to sit on the ball just before halftime of the Dolphins game. Compare that decision with going for it with 1:21 on the clock and no timeouts at the end of SB 36. It seemed Bill Belichick had more confidence in Tom Brady as a 23 year old 2nd year player than he did the 42 year old GOAT last December.

Putting aside all the palace intrigue which was very real and a huge motivation to Brady, I’m beginning to believe that this all boils down to performance. Bill Belichick simply did not believe Tom Brady, at 42, could play well enough to win with the talent they were able to put around him, and he convinced Bob Kraft of this as well.

Main reason the Patriots, BB and Brady are detested is winning.
Followed by the proliferation of Social Media - the ability to ***** instantaneously helped create a cottage industry of provocateurs (Parker/Kellerman) - fed into the mob.
Propaganda behind Spygate and deflategate and how creating narratives superseded the truth (and/or context) The average fan would answer that Spygate was about the Patriots taping practices and other nefarious activities vs filming from the sidelines like all teams had done for years.
Inherent bias - the majority of fans are honestly convinced the Pats and Brady get all the calls. The "you can't breathe on Brady without a flag" narrative is so prolific that the fact his actual roughing the passer calls are below league average are deemed irrelevant.

If he wins a couple of more Lombardi’s that will change in a hurry. Everyone hates a winner.
It would be unreal if he wins one more before he retires.

  1. I don't know how long BB will coach. I do know that, if the Krafts have been learning from BB, BB will be gone if he continues to struggle, particularly now that Brady's not there to help cover for some of the errors. After all, better early than late, right?
  2. Kraft seems as if he should have stepped aside a couple of years ago.
  3. Yes, the triumvirate will all end up in the HOF.
‘If BB continues to struggle’ ??

Damn!
Fail to reach the SB one year and keyboard GMs are already inquiring about available grave sites for this seemingly overmatched relic

Wouldn’t have even been in the Super Bowl if it wasn’t for Brady while the defense began imploding against the Chiefs.

Ah yes, you mean the running game which was like 80% of our offense in this game and the game against the Chargers while the passing game relied on schemed, low percentage 3rd & long conversions and one handed Chris Hogan catches.

If you want to go all in on the passing game just stick to the previous two seasons that really were incredible.

Yes everyone will say “oh its the Raiders being stupid”. I however think it is the most realistic revelation of any non desperate teams’ evaluation of TB, and aligns with my theory on him as well. Film don’t lie.

Report: Here's why Raiders passed on Tom Brady

Brady had a 77 passer rating vs KC and 71 vs LAR. Let’s not overlook the run game and defense in that title run.

I see this as an indictment of the WR corps & TE corpses

Most of the time, every coach does things right. It's been obvious that BB's impactful errors have been more frequent in recent seasons. There's no sense pretending otherwise.

Deus Irae.. first are you a woman like your avatar and feminine sounding screen name?

Second.. you love belichick cuz he chose brady in 2001. He could have gone back to Bledsoe. Try and focus on that love since that decision gave birth to a legend...

I saw the same things but.... um who is most attentive to details..? Belichick. And the issue of which team could say " I'm smarter than you Bill, and I'm gonna sign this old player for huge money..." ..?

Answer : The team that stood to make millions by flipping their franchise. TAMPA BAY.

I really hope that's not your "A" game.

I don’t give a rats ass about flipping a franchise. I care about winning and thats dangerous with a 43 year old declining QB.

You said he was declining the year we won a SB (Falcons SB I believe). That wasn't the case. Are you willing to admit you were wrong then? Curious if you're a troll/hater or can admit you were wrong then.

Who can blame him, how the **** do you sit there and watch the opposing team go up and down the field knowing your one of your best CB is on the bench for no ducking reason. I remember thinking alright maybe they’ll play Butler now said that after every damn quarter went by. Literally no way we lose if butler played even one series

That game really seems to be the one that'll stand out against BB. It was the game where "I'm just doing what's best for the team" died.

The last two seasons brady had hot garbage to throw to.

Gronk was a shell of him self and outside of jules he had very little to count on.

Bill relied on the jules and gronk train too heavily and for too long.

Do you guys think we win that game with Butler?

Who knows but its be pretty hard to give up 41 points.

Also, brandon cook's gets off a little too easy for his horrendous decisions just because someone ripped his head off.
