Brady gone

Not going to happen. It is either 10-6 or so or compete tank job and then grab Lawrence. No tread-milling here and if Stidham sucks in TC the BB will make that decision. I’m sure he would rather go through one terrible season and grab the next big thing QB for the future than just eek into the playoffs and be too good to suck.

Gonna be tough to get Lawrence and Bill won’t allow this team to tank. Pats might have to gamble and trade for a first next year hoping that team absolutely crashes and burns.

You're delusional if you think Pats are getting Lawrence and/or BB's giant ego will allow them to tank. No, what's going to happen is BB will return to what he actually is, a sub .500 coach. 6-10, 7-9 for the next few years.
except BB isn't actually a sub .500 coach. Try your hate out on the D train platform...maybe you'll make enough to get that bottle of Ripple you desire.

It's obvious that Brady wanted a long term deal and BB wanted it to be year to year. Both are reasonable positions to take. I don't blame either party for sticking to what they believed was important to them. I preferred Brady back for this year as I think they had a real chance at another run but fully understand his decision.

Root hard for Stidham to play like a top 10ish QB and the defense playing like a top 5 unit again. Team makes a run to AFCCG
Brady plays well and TB is a contender - I will absolutely root for Brady

All of those things sound great but Stidham is not even a top 25 QB. I obviously really hope I'm wrong but Stidham plus this WR corps is an offensively challenged unit. I will be watching and rooting them on though!

Matt Cassel says hey

Who has better record tb or pats?

We need big money on this bet...:cool:

The present team is a train wreck on offense, and the defense is a laughable geriatric ward of has beens and nobodies. No QB, no OL, no OL coach, no TEs, No WRs, weak at RB, Black hole at LB, aging secondary (exception Gilmore), DL is average to bad. And yet somehow, we are "up against the cap"?!!! Are you kidding me with this mess?! BB is 100% trash at drafting and TB was smart to get off the Ego Titanic. Get ready for a multi year train wreck. I don't hate my team but the BB sycophants on this board are fkn nauseating. The guy is a jerk and overrated. Brady made him and made this team. Sorry if that hurts any of you middle aged baby girls.

We will find out soon enough. Is it acceptable to doubt the "great" BB or must we all tow the ball washing line? PS, you need work on your dis game, son.

and you don't need to work on a thing...you're a perfect moron.

Hey pal, we're ignoring the past 20 years where Belichick cemented himself as the greatest coach in league history and has a 14-6 record without Brady since 2008, with three QBs who had never started a pro game before. The real Bill Belichick is the guy from Cleveland over a quarter century ago.

the same BB that took the lowly Browns to the playoffs as his scumbag owner was trying sell off assets to facilitate his move to Baltimore? or the one who ran the defense on the World Championship NY Giants teams of the 90's? Yeah...that guy sucks...you just wait and see!

I still call bullsh1t. Let me enlighten you.

TFB and BB became aware that salary cap realities would eventually fry the possibility of continuing their reign of terror on their own terms.

So, Ernie Adams took up residence in the CDC after the coronavirus was reported in China. He modeled its inevitable effect on public venues, and calculated the moves from on high that would be necessary to enable the cancellation of the 2020-21 NFL season.

Kraft called Trump and advised the latter of the need to disregard the spread of the virus until full saturation became an inevitability.

With that mission accomplished, Tom hit the open market, just for laughs picking a city purely by its initials, TB.

He has now arranged a cutting-edge stasis chamber that will house him from the time of the cancellation of the season until the 2021 season. After various cap certainties are resolved in the Patriots favor, he will return to ahem reanimate the team for I'm gonna say 3 more titles.

You guys believe what you read in the MSM if you want, this is my belief and no amount of fact can override my emotional attachment to it.

Jarrett Stidham isn't inheriting a roster that went 16-0 the year before.

He is inheriting a team with the greatest coach arguably in sports history

I think the Browns would have won a title had that franchise continued on in Cleveland. Bill had set them up that way. They actually did a few years later...

Talent still matters.

So does coaching. Look at what happened to the Colts without Manning and compare that to the Patriots without Brady. Like night and day...

If you ignore games where the team was actually trying to lose, the Colts went from 10-6 with Manning to 11-5 with a rookie QB replacing Manning.

The Brazilian Yoko
Yeah, this won't be a popular position, but I am thinking texts from Gronk affirming how Bill's a grouch and Tom has outgrown him probably carry more weight than Gisele.

God I love multi-quote... shelter in place heaven...

Stop. Blaming Brady is asinine.

The Patriots had years to give better deals, and Brady had been asking for longer term commitment, only to be rebuffed by the team. The Patriots then had all the offseason to give a better deal. The Patriots chose not to do it.

God, how do I put this? They didn't because, to the Patriots, at this time... it did not make sense. Even for another ring (maybe.) And (because Brady didn't want more year-to-year, under market value "disses," I think,) he just weighed it all (Pride? Warm weather? access to S. America? Extra 7 m /year? Offensive WEAPONS? Who knows), and the scales came up light on NE's side.

You know what? May we somehow explode into the post-Brady era for 3 Stidham rings in a row. But failing that... May Tom F'ing Brady make those pirate ship cannons light up the gulf coast skies!

It's a great team and a great quarterback that weren't a match anymore... that's it man.

NE was not an option for Brady

Yeah, sorta true given what NE could offer.

Some people have irrational love for this player..

Free choice is not blame. Florida has better golf at the moment for example. Kids like beaches. You had the guy for 20 years.. time to say bubye... And go visit him in TB.

Right on. May he light up the NFCS, and stop that silly round-robin system with a TB mini-dynasty. May His GOATness be confirmed, right up to losing to NE in the SB.

Please, explain how this is "irrational" as opposed to the attachment that fan bases have for other players.

Ding ding ding. "Fan" is short for what word? Agree.

I want Stiham to be good just so I can watch every announcer in the league to say "He went to Jarrett" over and over again.

Haha.. DMC.. you're awesome. Hey what if Tom strains a calf muscle week 2 . Season in TB is toast. Big 50m risk on 43 y.o. goes down the massive tubes.

Is this scenario more probable than miracle TB season?

Tom's injury history has been exemplary so far. He just effs up something royally every decade or so... wait, he only did that once so far... :D

Just kidding. You always hate to see that. I'd love to see him continue to make the league his beeyotch, unless the Pats are involved.

The Buccaneers already are cashing in from their relationship with the greatest quarterback in NFL history, both in the form of increased ticket sales and increased jersey sales. Even though the Buccaneers have yet to unveil new jerseys. And even though Brady has yet to be issued a number.

According to Fanatics, Brady instantly has become the top-selling players across all sports today, and the top-three selling produces have been Tom Brady jerseys, both men’s and women’s.
