Brady gone

I look forward to us getting something approximating the actual truth.

Edit:

And now Tommy doesn't want the truth. I hope he's just too drunk to actually comprehend what he's reading.

Sorry Deus. You wouldn't know the truth if it bit you in the rear end. You've shown that just as many times as Andy Johnson and NEM.

4 factors to consider when thinking about Brady’s next spot: A collaborative coach, a well-built roster even if not perceived as a clear Super Bowl favorite, good weather and favorable proximity to NYC for personal reasons. But don’t use any of those to cross teams off the list.

I would expect a clear and concise approach to free agency for Tom Brady. This isn’t likely to be a drawn-out process. Even with new COVID-19 regulations across NFL, Brady never planned for a tour or even felt like he needed in-person meetings. Two words: Quick and quiet.

What is this BS about needing a deep threat? They won 6 SBs without a "deep threat".

What they need is receivers who consistently catch the ball when it's thrown to them. Be it TE, RB, or WR. And that was an issue last year. Even White had uncharacteristic drops last year.

All true. Gee, I wonder why.

Weren't you leaving?

Kraft said it was Brady's decision. Everything leaked from Brady's camp said it was Brady's decision. Do you want the truth, or do you just want to lynchmob Belichick and Kraft?

I laid out the difference between his statement and his later comments. I'm sorry your eyesight is failing you.

Well, Tom's out of here. He's not beholden to the Patriot way now. He'll have a sit down with Andrea Kramer or whoever for 199 Productions and spill his guts. Shed a tear like in the Brady 6.

So did you deflate footballs? Lol

Jim Gray I bet.

Then Sally Jesse Rafael

Close to NY?? You can't get any closer than Foxboro unless he plays for the Jets or Giants.
I wonder if Carolina is a contender? The Redskins? For sure Tampa over LA if being close to NY is a real factor.

He has help this organization tremendously, and his place in history is without question.
I am curious to know the team he will choose, I think it will be Tampa, and how he will adapt to their organization. Creating a sustaining winning culture is not easy and he may find that the grass there is not greener but actually parched.

Weren't you leaving?

I posted on that, too, in this very thread. Again, I'm sorry your eyesight is failing you. I hope you can find a doctor to help you with that.

1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5- Acceptance

I am already in depression stage but well on my way to acceptance

Sad today, but will be happy if Tom gets #7 without Bill, and Bill gets us #7 without Tom...

They should have given him a multiple year contract last year coming off of Super Bowls. Because they would have gotten more out of a Tom-declining than a QB that is green and only now learning how to read NFL defenses.

A lot of people underestimate how much Brady has become lined into the DNA of the Patriots. I see comments here challenging people's fandoms. We need to appreciate the total synthesis between our favorite team and Brady's 20 years here. Now I've been through the Sullivans and Fairbanks, Erhardt, Ron Meyer, Rod Rust, Kiam, McPherson, etc., but even I can't get out of my mind the fact that essentially, Brady and Belichick are the Patriots. Asking me to stop identifying with the guy--after seeing his gutsy performances year after year, the class with which he performed, the abuse he took from the NFL, the doubts about his abilities--and I can't. I watched him play live every year in opposing stadiums (Buffalo, NY Jets, Pittsburgh, Miami), I was once physically attacked by 5 guys for wearing his jersey (and saved from it by my friend & a horde of Bills fans), & I heard the totally ridiculous chants "Brady is a lady," & my god it's been an incredible, weird, unbelievable 20 years.

Please, I don't want to hear criticism of Patriots fans working through the mixed emotions here.

Belichick is indeed ruthless. Give Brady the 2 or 3 year contract last year, he's better than anyone you're going to find in that same period, and let him retire as a 44 year old.

I'm okay with this and I'm not shocked at all. I always thought this made the most sense for all parties involved. Tom wasn't going to get what he wanted here and bill was always going to do what was best for the football team.

Thanks for all the amazing memories TOM. I will always cherish them. That being said, I'm excited to watch this team rebuild without Brady. It's time to move on.

I’d have no problem giving Brady 2 years, $50 million to finish his career here (they’d be structuring a contract in such a way that it was a 3 year deal with a voidable year, but essentially 2 years/$50m guaranteed).

I think when you factor in Edelman’s injury, Brady has the worst receiving/TE unit of his entire career last year. Yet he still threw 4,000+ yards with 24/8 TD/INT. If he goes to Tampa, barring injury, he’s going to throw 4,500+ yards with 35+ TD’s.
May not been about money...I suspect Btrady wants to prove he can win a different system with a different coach and erase all the "system QB" disses
