The Tom Brady rumor thread

Feel like Brady's coming back but have no idea where the money is coming from before the accelerated cap hit drops dead. Think they'll extend Thuney and drop the cap hit there and there's some massaging they can do elsewhere, but it's hard to see... especially if they want to sign some guys and add to the team.
Rework contracts, cuts

Gisele will never let Tom come back on the cheap

Coming back for vet minimum:p

Honestly though, it’s looking like Tampa Bay if the rumors are true about opening the vault for him, unless the Colts or Chargers come strong.

Tom is gone.

i dont think pats or brady want each other at this time.

I just hope it’s not the Dolphins
I want to know Lynchie's source.

MIA makes somewhat sense but with Tom they are barely a playoff team

I feel like the longer this drags on means Brady is more likely to return.
Lot of ego at play. Brady may sit out and wait until some team wants him than come back here is my guess. unless kraft calls up and smooths things over. This is beyond contract issues from the look of it.

Tom is gone.
He’s going to end his storied 20 year career with a pick six and a national emergency. Lovely.

All of the other 31 fanbases can finally rejoice.

why the rebuild? And if so why sign Devin for that much $?

Maybe BB feels he can put a competitive team on the field so there wont be a rebuild circa 2000.

Maybe they are confident from what they’ve seen from Stidham and want to field a defense to keep the points down?

Would our offense be worse in 2020 if we can improve the talent around stidham compared to running it back with what we had in 2019 with Brady a year older?

The Rams were #7 in points allowed. They were #7 in points allowed per drive. They were #3 in yards allowed. They were #2 in first downs allowed.

First rule of holes

Didn't say their defense was bad, just that their offense was the strength of that team, averaging 31pts per game. We held them to 17 and the defense scored 7 on them. Teams averaged 17 points against their defense, we managed only 13.

It's lala land here with you Tommy Homers. Belichick and Crennel had a great game plan vs the Rams, taking Marshall Faulk out of his game particularly. It was a coaching win. Brady did his part, as did Vinatieri. But crediting Brady with carrying the team that game by himself is ridiculous.

I am surprised that this hasn't been settled by now. The longer it drags on...the more I think Brady will come back.

I believe there will be a trade for some offensive help. Dunno where we will get a TE...Jimmy Graham has a contract for 8M AAV! Hooper is off the market..pending a physical....Hunter Henry has been franchised. Who is left?
Howard
Ebron
Njoku
Brate
Shaheen
Engram
Eifert
Everett
V. McDonald

Did they just not improve it by franchising Thuney, who everybody thought was all but gone? Addition before the subtraction? By doing so it freed up draft capital towards possible offensive weapons. If Andrews comes back, even better. This team will be able to run the ball better again with Michel. Add in Wynn with another preseason, Harry and draft picks and it can turn around in a hurry.

The strength of this team was the secondary. I’d prefer to keep it intact in a league that strives for high scoring passing attacks.

Cool story bro. You pointed out a game in Brady’s first year, going against a great defense, with virtually no weapons. I’m sure they would have been in that game to begin without Brady, though..they were just slicing through the league like a hot knife through butter before Brady arrived.

When I read your posts, I get the sense you’ve just copied your old work from 2004. Maybe just delete the last part which says Manning would have WAY more Super Bowls than system QB Brady!!!

Your posts have no depth. It’s basically a shallow greatest hits collection from Patriot haters that disappeared around 2010. It’s like you’ve missed the last 15 years of football which saw your weak, silly theories crapped all over every Sunday.
We are already here now where we are star

I think his chances of coming are way low and it will hit zero once he counts 13.5 mil against the cap in 2 days. I hope i am wrong.
