This is a steal. Is Tannehill really worth 23 more a season?

Tannehill was like the third or fourth best quarterback in the league last year. Guess it all depends on whether that's the real Ryan Tannehill or that Miami mediocrity is the real one.

Eh, in the playoffs he was fine but not a 29 million dollar QB

He led the league in yards per attempt last season. His yards per attempt were a full yard greater than the next best qualifier, including Patrick Mahomes. I feel like a lot of posters on this forum don't pay attention to football if the Patriots aren't involved. Tannehill was downright great last season. Someone was going to pay him.

Yes he had a nice year but in no universe does Ryan Tannehill get $91m over 2 years.

Have you looked at the quarterbacks in the NFL who aren't 80 years old? There really aren't many good ones. We're all very spoiled by Brady.

Agree but based on what you have seen from Ryan Tannehill, is he worth $91m over 2 years?

The market says yes but crime in Italy....

I really wanted Hooper. I think it might be time to look at Diggs now since he wants out. I mean, if the Patriots spent a 2nd on Sanu, Diggs is definitely worth the 23rd.

If you get the Ryan Tannehill who showed up last year, then absolutely. If you get the Miami one, not even close. It's a gamble, but you kind of have to gamble at that position. That said, I'd much prefer paying Tannehill to, say, Winston.

The universe you're looking for is the one where Vrabel and Robinson are telling their boss that the safe play is to keep the team together.

Hey, it's not their money...

Mia this guy credible now?
It was a big trade, and it involved a huge star player that no one had really mentioned as being available for trade, so I'd say yes.

Flores will be able to run his pats man heavy scheme now with Howard & Jones.

The better option for TN was to go with a bridge QB for two years with maybe Mariota at lesser money and reassess within those two years or after through the draft. There’s no way Tannehill gets TN to the SB. That money is stupid considering the fact that he’s more likely to turn back into Miami Tannehill.

Winston needs coaching.

Tanny in the playoffs wasn't impressive....

If not for some terrible deep passes, Titans should have blown us out. Tanny just needed to move the chains and made some awful decisions.
