Oh it did something all right - check out the pictures from O'Hare, DFWA, Orlando and other airports today. Thousands of people crammed together without even hand sanitizer in lines for up to 6 hours trying to get through customs. So bad the Illinois Governor let fly on the feds (and the guy in charge of all this is "acting" of course, probably unqualified, and never vetted or confirmed).



So, just to be clear...mad rush to get home put people coming from hot zones into Disney-like mob scenes for hours.

Way too late for that. Should have started doing that four weeks ago.

• Enforced quarantines with masked policemen patrolling like its WWII Paris.

• Unable to receive medical care even for non-Coronavirus issues.

After work yesterday I went out and bought the Ring system from Costco.

How do you hook it up and install it? Do you hire someone like an electrician since you’re changing the wiring, or did you do it yourself? Just curious. I’m not handy around the house in the slightest, but I’m thinking of finally getting this for the front porch.

If you have a doorbell, it is a 10 minute process, even for those not handy at all....
1) turn power OFF at the breaker box.
2) unscrew doorbell and you'll see two wires
3) connect to Ring and turn breaker back on. ( no battery needed that way)
4) download software to phone and set up.
or something similar.....
They give you the tools to do it.
I think I pay $3/month to keep a history of events......

I've seen that those "60 and over" are at higher risk BUT I would say that 60 is very different for a lot of people. A 60 year old who goes to the gym and uses a treadmill or elliptical for 30-45 minutes 3-4 x per week and is on no medications is a younger 60 and likely ( hopefully) to better weather the storm than a 60 year old obese uncontrolled diabetic with hypertension, COPD ( chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), sleep apnea who looks much older....

I've been watching the clips of Trump's mental degradation being shown for years now - when he can't find his way off the stage, etc. Saw the same thing with Bush, with Clinton, with McCain.

If mental acuity was the test for the WH, I'd be thrilled and Trump wouldn't be president. This time through, it'd be Booker, Buttigieg, or Warren, hands down on that marker.
