If Brady leaves I hope we sign Rivers.

I'm not interested.

Big fan of the player. Tough as nails, played afc championship game on torn acl while his wussy rb sat.

Bottom line though, with these weapons and learning a whole new system, bringing him in would be a waste.

Mariota or Bortles makes the most sense to me.
I don’t hate the trade for Rosen option.
As far as draft If not Love then Eason or I’m warming up to Gordon as well.

Rivers will be 39 in December, and with his injury history not sure I would like this signing..
He’s...never missed a game. #confused

I would be on the side of tearing it down if Brady goes rather than sign someone like Rivers. That said, there was a lot of complaining about how non-emotive Tom was last season, so this would be different. Vet minimum deal and I’m in.

I can't handle watching Rivers for 16 games. I never understood why he never had shoulder issues given his awful delivery and his ill-timed turnovers always drove me nuts, especially when we were forced to root for him down the stretch on several occasions in hopes of seeing the Chargers help the Patriots earn a top seed. If I have to watch him for an entire season, I may lose my mind

Eh.....think I'll pass. He looked cooked. Think you can do better for less money. Nick Mullens is my number one possibly available quarterback, Blake Bortles also interests me as does Nick Foles if he's available. Taysom Hill is interesting, but a big question mark.

Hmm, I’ve always thought his bark was worse than his bite.

This instantly became the only relevant post in the thread. We can't afford to lose Ian to a mental health problem. Imagine what the board will be like if he starts behaving like the rest of us.

LOL, this whole thing is still a little surreal since honestly, as we've seen, there just isn't an option that would come close to replacing someone of Brady's caliber, even at the age of 43 that he'll be this year. So I'm in the category of one of those guys who will complain about everyone available and can't really give you a logical suggestion for a better alternative, but I just know Rivers isn't it ;)

Other than that, I'll maintain my sanity by just remaining in denial that we're potentially about to head into an insane year and I'll keep my fingers crossed that things might work out and we'll be able to put this off another season or two. :D

What we should really do is try to harness the power of Eli Manning. Take the one that has hurt you the most, turn tragedy into triumph, etc

Foles over Manning all day
Also what about getting Luck out of retirement of course They own his rights but I’d happily give up a first if their hands were forced and the look on Colts fans faces would be priceless.

Not to worry, I'm sure someone who kisses up to authority will save you a seat on the panic bus
;)

No thank you. Watching him is painful at times. He's almost 40 and still throwing killer INTs you can't recover from. 20 last year. 20 a year or two before that.

Also there's something to be said about the talent they've squandered there. He had no shortage of weapons throughout his time there and didn't make it work. Like all-star team type talent for years with no serious SB run in almost 20 years.

Even the high end (15m) would place him as the lowest paid starter in the league who’s not on a rookie deal, so it would be great if he’d be willing to go for it.

Would rather have Thuney back with that money.

Lol...Mariota, Bortles, Foles, Luck. Keep going...this is gold.

Rivers has 18 kids. He wants to leave each of them $15 million. He's going to try to max out his contract.
