Getting back to the original point, the first post outlines the reasoning behind how things are handled, so hopefully that provided a little bit of clarification.

This is just a football forum ... nothing more, although I try and include some other areas around the site to be somewhat useful/interesting. I know sometimes things will be said that cause issues and we do the best we can to help deal with them and we don't always get it right. But really, that's more or less the story.

Just trying to get us back on topic, but obviously feel free to continue posting any questions, opinions, etc. my way.
If it is possible to keep threads on topic much of the issue goes away. Especially considering that name calling, deflection, ad hominem attacks, etc are all off topic.

Your first mistake was broadcasting an IP. Which means once I put chrome in incognito mode I can hack you and the FBI will never find me.

Given the dark secrets you are no doubt privy to and your various soft associates I would like to think the FBI would give you a wide berth. If for no other reason than out of a healthy fear of you naming names.

(BTW, that wire transfer should hit tomorrow)

I also kiss-up to the FBI.

...and here I was thinking it was the other way 'round.

Wait a minute, that's exactly what someone who had them in their hip pocket would say... hmmm, I'm gonna need more tinfoil or a seance with the shade of Chris Stevenson for this

So does this mean Patjew is coming back?

I hope he was just having a bad day ... not to bad ...
but something he will blow off and be back.

So this thread has been very informative. I now know the personalities of our mods, which is good to know when looking for a favor:

1. The GDT Queen - No nonsense Ash;
2. The Happy IT Granma - Nice Ross;
3. The Icy Enforcer.

Reluctant ...
Seriously the time on works good for Ian.
I tend to be on late night and others morning, mid-day and night.

Well f***

I literally work in IT which makes this especially embarrassing

This must be a common trait, I work in clinical systems IT and finally just turned in my iPhone 6 last year and cannot figure out how to cut my FIOS cord...

Thanks to Ian + the Mods for doing an often thankless job in a sometimes ugly environment (but much less often now that PoFo is dead lol)

You're doing the work of the angels unless you remove anything I say ever in which case you're all jackbooted thugs. Oh not really.

I've been all over the place lately. Was in a good spot for a while where I could check-in and work wasn't too horrible. That hasn't been the case recently...been in super early and getting hope fairly late...hopefully things settle down a bit.

1. It seems the Ignore feature is being, well "ignored," and posters are using the mods to control arguments they don't like from certain posters. For these "sensitive" posters, the "ignore poster" feature should be the preferred way to reduce the amount of deleted posts and over-moderation imo;
2. I'm guilty of what Icy called taking on trolls. I ended up having to put a poster on "ignore" (think it's my 1st and only one) because he kept on reporting me and I kept getting locked out of threads. Still think he's a KC troll, but have to admit not seeing his Crap has been fan tastic.
3. In all honesty, this is just a football forum and getting too heated or involved is probably dumb. I just wish sarcasm would come across better online, but it just doesn't. Some people get it, but I guess not enough.

Well I have a home office and tend to be on the road days and living at the desk at night.
Maybe you have noticed ... but if not ... it's okay to go to bed peacefully.

By and large that's a sane enough attitude, but when somebody comes in and tries to make delightful small talk about how the holocaust is overblown and Jews assassinated kennedy and the like, suddenly I find myself glad that someone "sensitive" has sent up the bat signal.

Come on man. There's something to be said about "don't do what would destroy the board if everybody did it." From time to time, it's not "those sensitive crybabies" that are the problem.

Given the topic of this discussion, it should be very interesting to see if the five or six childish personal attacks on me in this very thread while I was out with my family will be punished or even deleted.

Well obviously. Agreed.
No rule is 100% foolproof, which is the point, I think, Ian was trying to make. It's not easy.

Edit: just found out your above wasn't a theoretical but actually happened. Unbelievable. Everyone knows the cubans assassinated Kennedy. Seriously, kudos to @Ice_Ice_Brady
