Who do the Pats select with the 23rd overall pick?

It's not I don't think he can't it's just that I think it will take a season or 2 for Jarret or whoever to be acclimated and ready.
Give Bill Belichick a Marcus Mariota/Ryan Tannehill/Andy Dalton and he still has a winning season

The Greatest of all time. The one who plays chess and other play checkers. The Patriots will be in the playoffs next year, with or without Brady (I'd like to see Brady return).

Yes on Love. No on Fromm in terms of an early pick. He didn't help himself at all this year. Love was bad at times too but has some legit excuses & a ton of tools. Fromm regressed big time in a much better situation.

I adore Fromm which pains me to say this, but he was poor this year. Especially with the talent he has around him. His O-line are all NFL talent and majority will be 1st or 2nd rounders.

Jacob Eason is an interesting look at as well

Well, they selected NKeal Harry in 1st round. I really wanted DK Metcalf (4.33 spd).

Here is his stats as a rookie with Seattle:

Yeah, those 3 fumbles are not very good...But he did play 16 games.

He had a good season, but would he of had that season for the patriots in the scheme we run. That’s the one thing we all need to remember is scheme fit.

Stidham was also coming off a lesser season and fell to R4

Frankly, Fromm is one of the only QBs that interest me this year (Like Stidham last year)

Intangibles off the charts and perfect system fit

Hope BB does him homework on him

Difference between Fromm and Stidham is Fromm really has no one to blame, as the talent and everything around him was still there, whereas Stidham had a terrible system for his style.

Good point

Don't forget Stidham's nonexistent O-line as well

I was the biggest Fromm fan at the start of the season ask @BaconGrundleCandy I’d of taken Fromm over Tua, but he’s just been average at best this season and I can’t work it out.

Has one of the best O-lines in the country, has a good receivers as well as a great running game just didn’t make sense this year why he looked so average at best. Frustrating to watch this year they were, but if your looking at Lineman for the draft take your pick out of Georgia’s.. unreal talent.

So we can waste another year with a rookie WR? I say DT or OL. They couldn't stop the run late in the year and definitely to inject some talent on the OL.
I’d like to trade down and get Raekwon Davis.
Try to hit a HR with those 3rds and early 4 from Chicago.

I’d love to pick up OJ Howard for one of 3’s

Draft will be sorted out once Goodell decides how many picks to take away. I think, unless a perfect fit drops down to #23, BB trades down.

What does bb pick up by trading down? A second and a third? Something for the 2021 draft?

what if Kinlaw falls to 23? This guy is perfect for us. He can so versatile and can play 3-4 or 4-3. I do not think bb trades back if Kinlaw is there at 23.

I’d just take him then. If Espenesa drops to 17-18, I’d trade up for him.

Kinlaw has a ton of potential. Definitely need an inside presence. Length for days. Freaky body. He could really help a lot of teams and put them over top.

I watched some film on him. Long, nice motor, good strength, quick hands. He needs some work on his run D technique, i.e., on a few plays he forgot to look for the ball. A lot of bull rush which doesn’t work as much in the NFL; no swim move, didn’t show an ability to corner, no long arm, etc. I suspect he didn’t really need to use skills to rush the passer. I think he has the hands to work those moves. He can play 3 technique pretty well, though. Funny that S.C. left him there alone a lot against Alabama and I’m not sure what they were thinking. He looks like he might be able to play almost anywhere in the front 7 so you get a lot of versatility.

Any one of the following would be great; otherwise, trade down:

Javon Kinlaw IDL
South Carolina Senior 6'6" 310 lbs

K'Lavon Chaisson EDGE
LSU Junior 6'4" 250 lbs

Grant Delpit S
LSU Junior 6'3" 201 lbs

Justin Herbert QB
Oregon Senior 6'6" 235 lbs

Jonathan Taylor RB
Wisconsin Junior 5'11" 219 lbs

C.J. Henderson CB
Florida Junior 6'1" 202 lbs

Mekhi Becton OT
Louisville Junior 6'7" 369 lbs

Terrell Lewis EDGE
Alabama RS Junior 6'5" 252 lbs

Kinlaw or Becton would be a tremendous addition to the trenches. Becton has that Trent Brown size.

maybe tannehill or dalton, not to sure about mariota

South Carolina state has a monster offensive tackle named Taylor that you need to watch film on. He is 6’9” and 325 pounds, He is a bit raw, has not had any decent coaching, but after a red shirt year, he could be a monster.
