Who do the Pats select with the 23rd overall pick?

Well, they selected NKeal Harry in 1st round. I really wanted DK Metcalf (4.33 spd).

Here is his stats as a rookie with Seattle:

Yeah, those 3 fumbles are not very good...But he did play 16 games.
And DK Metcalf also had 7 catches 160 yards and a TD In his first playoff game today...while our superstar first round savior had two catches for 21 yards

You take best talent available.

Yes on Love. No on Fromm in terms of an early pick. He didn't help himself at all this year. Love was bad at times too but has some legit excuses & a ton of tools. Fromm regressed big time in a much better situation.

They say Love struggles with his progressions...

The Patriots score from the 1 and we are not having this discussion. We trade/FA for a TE and WR (rookies don't contribute in their first year). Draft an Offensive lineman or trade down. Although, I trust BB will make the correct call.

His decision making wasn't top or even middle tier at times but the guy lost his entire offense & coaches from the previous year where he lit the world on fire. Plus I've seen him go through enough progressions from over the past two years that I'm more then comfortable with respect to that part of his game. The tools & traits are worth a gamble imo.

Guys, probably a stupid question so I will take the heat....lol...

if we are now picking at 23 in round 1 does that mean we also pick earlier in later rounds or does it not work that way.....

We have the 23rd pick in every round except 2nd and 5th, which we traded away

Tua coming out will hopefully push a few QB prospects down to mid 20s

Their own picks that they actually have in each round will fall at the same number. But there are/will be rounds where they don’t have a pick and there are/will be rounds where they have picks that other teams gave to them. There is also the option of another team giving Kraft a rub and tug in exchange for a pick.

Yea I'd be shocked if Joe & Tua aren't the first two QB's off the board. Not often you get two prospects this clean on the field.

And, knowing Belichick, even those will get traded.
10 years ago they had #22 overall, and through multiple trade backs (and tossing in a 4th rounder) they came out with picks that were used on Devin McCourty, Taylor Price, and Aaron Hernandez. I’d be thrilled with that again, without the murder part of course.... McDaniels got hold of #22 and took Tim Tebow.

Or Shaq Mason doesn't get called for being downfield, wiping out the biggest pass play of the game.

Best available OL/TE so that Patriots can score from the 1 yard line in 3 attempts.

Seen several mock drafts that have us taking weaver from Boise state at 23.

he seems to be decent at pass rushing and has a little bend to him off the edge and he is passable as a run defender.

I really think we need to upgrade runninngback I would have Michel on the trading block he's a name on a rookie contact may get a third.

If Brady leaves trade Gilmore for a second this year and second next year or a first this year and 4th next year.

Thus, you don't think BB can make a run without Brady?
