I'm undecided if Brady has regressed and has aged... Last season the same thing happened hence 13 points in the Superbowl. We say he had a beat up gronk and not having him this season stunted Brady

We have a plethora of excuses for the subpar offense rangibg from new era to a bad line... No tight ends... And then the injuries but i don't get it. Even the worst teams could get guys open whether man or zone defense. They couldn't even get pick plays right. Im Getting more the feel it might be time to move on unfortunately.

If we had average offense we would have a legit shot at a sb. Take away the defensive and special teams scores I bet the offense was at the bottom

Any chance Gilmore gets traded for an elite wide receiver (and maybe something else too)? I'd hate to see him go, and I think he's the best defender in the NFL, but defense is so unreliable to win games, especially against good teams. The Patriots don't have many trade assets. A team would likely be getting the reigning DPOY still in his prime; the Patriots still have some very talented cornerbacks. This would obviously need to be an absolute stud in return, someone like D. Hopkins; it would need to with a team that has another emerging star receiver who is currently the #2.

What you mean even the worse teams? Those teams have a better wr unit than this one. You know why this team’s going home? Because sanu and harry couldn’t beat man coverage to save their lives!!! Same goes for dorsett who can’t beat press coverage.

He’s not going anywhere. Who do they have after jackson on the outside?

WR group total rebuild.

Edelman locked in.
Dorsett goodbye.
Sanu lives out of his suitcase and gets to compete at camp, but thats it..
Harry back but with zero expectations.
Draft 2 WRs
Sign 2 FA WRs with one a BIG name player.

BB will make the most economical moves in the context of the given moment like he does every year.

Reload with Stidham no need to tank or blow it up, based on reports Brady wants to get paid and he can't and have us reload at the same time if true, well I'm sure that's why we are in this situation.

Yeah. Because that's what Brady's career is all about, "Get Paid". Oh wait, you must be talking about Asante Samuels.... you know, the guy who actually had that tattoed on his arm. Brady and Patriots have yet to fall out because of the $$. If Pats want Brady back and Brady wants to come back........ given those 2 points, I think they will figure it out. I still think it was poor contract handling by the Pats to get to this point, but that's another matter.

This is a rebuild regardless of what happens with Brady. The coaching staff has been gutted by departures, guys on both sides of the ball have hit their Sell By dates (Chung, Edelman, Watson, Develin, McCourty, etc.), and they need upgrades at WR, TE, and both lines.

Brady wants to get paid this time and we won't give em what he's looking for unless it's the same discounts as in years past otherwise this would just be another off season but Cleary it's not since everyone including Robert and Bill have given statements on the matter meaning what's going on is the real deal that it's possible Brady won't be back next year, very possible.

I wonder if the Chargers have a 3 year 100 Mi dollar fully guaranteed offer on the table for Brady, we know there is tampering rules etc but on the backstages it must be really easy for a team to make that information be carried out in the wind until the athlete's ears.

How has that worked out lately?

He did lower the price on his crib

Can that chargers o-line protect brady? It has been a disaster.

Miami had a guy on the practice squad get open

reload... the Patriots are one 9-7 season away from tying one of the best (imo only) records in the NFL ... the cowbiys had a 20 season run with a winning record... the Patriots stand on the verge of tying that with a successful 2020 campaign ... and in two years that can top that record...

It may not be the most flashy record out there, but man, it would be nice to surpass that ...

and ... add to that Ray Lewis killed a guy
who really cares about that... at all...
Going to assume you're joking. That's not how you win games.

Establish the RUN with Sony!

Come on, man

OK Cousin Here is my take on a Brady home.......... if he goes.
It all makes perfect sense........The new Las Vegas Raiders.....why?
Economics-

1-Chuckie is not enamored with Derek Carr. He did not Draft him. At the end of the season, he was less than enthusiastic about Carr for the future.
2-The Raiders need to sell seats asap. As well as SELs
3-A 7-9 record is not going to pack the stadium
4-Imagine what Brady would mean to the Vegas fans
5-The Raiders are maybe one player away on the O line.
But honestly, their o line right now might be better than the Pats. The just resigned ingognito and Hudson. They have Kolten Miller and old friend Trent Brown. They have a 90 catch TE in Waller and a fresh Welker/Edelman clone in Renfro (we missed him too). They have Tyrell Williams a young, big, fast WR (come to think of it their receivers might be better) They might have the best young RB in the AFC. But.......They don't have a playoff veteran to lead them.
6-Brady for two years makes economic sense and a temporary face of the Franchise.
7-Brady lands on the left coast(close enough) where his roots and family are
8-Brady brings them an instant play-off threat,
9-I believe Mayock and Brady were o.k. Mayock kind of went out of his way on Brady.
10- Chuckie does not have to teach Brady anything. He won a SB with Trent Dilfer!!!
11-Chuckie gets to stick it to the Pats and BB for the Pats knocking them out 20 years ago.
12- Chuckie has two years to develop a QB learning from Brady.

What does that mean for Carr? I think he could be a fit in N.E. Not a trade, but almost.
Thoughts?

Some of you have lost your football minds.
If you're going to reload with the intent of winning the SB, 1st and foremost you gotta have TB12. He's very signable.
2nd, the most important part of ANY offense after QB, is the OL. Not the wrs. Not the rbs. Not the tes. That's basic football 101. Most of the problems with the O this year were due to OL injuries.
Pats can't possibly be as unlucky again.
But they MUST sign Thuney.
At this point, he's the 2nd best player on O after Brady.
Bacondude has a legit point. RUN the damn ball. We won the f'n SB last year as a power running team. The OL should be much stronger in 2020 IF they keep Thuney.
Roberts got better and better at FB the more he played. I'm afraid Develin is not coming back from that injury. There's a possibility Gronk could be back.
Harry played about half a season. Anyone calling him a bust is a clown.
Let's see how much he develops with a full training camp, off-season work with TB. I'm a huge JE fan but he needs help.
He plays so balls out he's going to get nicked up. But they only need ONE more decent wr. Haven't checked the upcoming fas around the league but it seems doable that way or even better, via trade.
Brady and Thuney are the only must sign fas. Keep the D intact as much as possible but if KVN and Collins want to get paid big-time let em go.

Hunter Henry or Austin Hooper. Roll with Stidham (there have been rave reviews about his progress the last couple of months). Re-sign DMac, Collins, Thuney and let Van Noy walk. Sounds like he wants a big payday. I’m not sure how to go about the receiver situation, really.
I’m just curious about where these reports of rave reviews of Stidhams’s progress the last couple of months are coming from. And are we really going with he’s doing a great job running the scout team in practice so he’s ready to be a competitive starting NFL QB?

eh, hard to arg againt those thoughts, it really is a good match. They still have picks from the Mack trade right?

At least it buys Mayock and Gruden another couple years since the results they brought so far are bad.

I thought Brady would getter better offer$ on the open market but the best situation would still be NE, I'm kind in a gray area right now because they might really have a good thing there, how is their defense though?
