THat's why they need to run the ball against their average D. Keep Henry on the sideline. Besides, with Brady's elbow, I can't imagine him slinging it. You will never see another SB 51 performance out of him where he is throwing it 50+ times.
Patriots got 5.0 YPC on the Dolphins on the ground. Not sure why they didn’t keep running it. I wouldn’t expect them to make that mistake again.

Play to their potential? Is it better than if the titans played to their potential? Their skilled players are a lot better than ours. This is gonna be a tough one. Is the offense gonna magically improve and receivers will beat man coverage? Titans should just double Edelman and let someone else beat them on this team.
Stop. I'm talking about our potential and yes it is.

Our defensive talent is light years ahead of theirs. There is no reason the D can't hold TN and a Ryan Tannehill led offense under 20 points. We aren't talking about 2007 Tom Brady here and I don't care how good of a year hes had.

Offensively our guys can score 24-30 points . TN is an average D

Pats O haven't run it well all year they are a below average running Team Sony scares no one. And our WR's can't beat man coverage what or who have you been watching??

Actually they’ve run the ball quite well in the last month. 4 of their last 5 games produced 135 or more yards on the ground. Including 143 vs Buffalo who has a better run D than any they will see this playoff season.

The teams they would likely face on the path back to the Super Bowl including TEN don’t really have stout run defenses.

So wise choice is not beating the house on the Pats or you'll be homeless.
There is no way I'd bet those house on NE.

No idea what team will show up.

Has Krafty Bob trademarked Four Games to Glory yet?

Last year Bill managed to hold Henry to 58 yards, 2 TDs, but Chris Davis killed us.

McD made a big mistake in the first half not running it. He changed it up in the 2nd half though.

They still don't know who they are. It's maddening

pats run game since Wynn returned & removing the Ferentz game v Chiefs:

139.8 yards per game
4.7 yards per carry

Their run game is more or less back from last year. Without the pick 6 vs. the Texans & Dolphins they probably ride it out more. Their play action passing game efficiency is top 5-10 & their standard drop back passing game efficiency is bottom 10. Can't abandon the run if they fall behind.

I'd like to see an all-hands-on-deck running game. Roberts at FB, OL as TEs, rotate RBs to keep them fresh - but also ride the hot horse if one shows. McD needs to stay patient and ignore that evil sprite on his shoulder whispering in his ear "pass, pass, pass". No throwing unless absolutely necessary. Minimize the demand on Brady's arm as much as possible so there's something left of it for the next game.

Our offense can make an average D look great. Their talent on offense is better than ours. Our defense once again will have to try and hold them under 21 points. One thing about this defense is that the d line is pretty weak. They can’t create enough pressure upfront. Chase Winovich has to get stronger in the offseason. Our ends are just awful.

Butler, Shelton and Guy are not weak.

Our ends are KVN and Simon. They are also solid.

I am talking about the DE position here. Simon is meh. Wise stinks. They need an improvement upfront in the offseason. These guys hardly get pressure without blitzing.

And dont forget about the emergence of Robert's at FB...

Hmmm.. so it sounds like our OL is decent and we have a good run game. Ie less excuses for a QB in decline.

Scheme and player fit. Priority is setting edge and pocket containment.

Only player to do both is Willie Mac. Maybe Vrable. A little Flowers.
