The annoying thing is that there is no way to remedy this even if the mistake becomes apparent during the game. You can't challenge the refs giving out wrong information.

The league should really consider making the declaration of elgibility/inelgibility a bit more obvious so miscommunication doesn't cause a cluster**** like that.
Make it clear there is no play if the wrong number is announced. The offense knows who checked in as eligible, they can make sure the correct number is announced. Give them incentive to do that.

One of the commentators said the ref told the two Patriots on the Line that 73 in eligible, there is a gripe. As Harbawl pointed out, the entire stadium needs to know about it via PA system and signatures from both parties and a witness. So, were the linebackers even informed, since they would responsible for shifting over to cover?
Even if they were, it denies the coaching staff an opportunity to respond. For example they might burn a TO to ensure proper coverage. That’s why it must be announced.

That's the only strategy I can think of.

All I'm saying is that if they hadn't scored there, there would have been a lot of second guessing this morning.

If it's me, I take the yard, and I run the sort of play we saw with LaCosse.
And that’s why BB is the coaching GOAT and you’re an armchair Internet savant.

You didn't give any facts. The absence of any deep throws yesterday is not evidence of Brady being too injured to throw deep. This is just the interpretation you chose because it fits your point.

.....and you didn't see the wrapped icepack on his elbow at the presser. Because he ALWAYS does that.

OK.

.

You're moving all around with these post. I'm not forgetting anything.

You said the guy is wide open. He's not nearly as open as you think despite the fact that he caught a few big TDs last year. He could do that again this year & it changes nothing.

The guy doesn't know how to win throughout the run. Release, in route, top of the route etc He's not winning enough on a consistent basis.

You brought 0 facts to your post & obviously can't judge arm strength bc Brady's is fine. His arm strength was never the problem. Ever.

It's also casual as hell to say we didn't throw deep = Brady's arm isn't there.

He's 1 of 11 guys on the field so there's a huge domino effect in terms of what you can do bc of the other players.

Not sure this has to be said again but NEP had a clear plan last night & executed it very well. Power run with misdirection in the backfield. Quick short/intermediate passes. It was all abt keeping Brady clean, moving the chains & keeping Buffalo guessing with motion & movement.

You almost immediately went off the rail in your second sentence. I never said the guy is wide open.

Show me where I did.

McDaniels barely put him in the game at all yesterday. His skill set doesn't fit the QB's arm strength at the moment. I thought McDaniels and Brady crafted a great game plan given the circumstances.

You wrote that through 2 teams Dorsett has nothing to show.

Late last year he caught 3 big moment TDs and this year he has 5, with the spigot turning off around the very same time that the reports began increasing of Brady's arm injury.

If you want to call that "nothing to show" (especially for a guy who is a 4 or 5 WR), then I can't help you there.

Where again it is just your interpretation that he cant throw deep. There are zero facts. Nobody is disputing he is injured.

When healthy he can throw deep with great accuracy.

Show me one the past 2 weeks since his already hurt elbow was hit in the KC game.

Apparently not, or not enough, being as how they didn’t stop the pass despite that tip.

So try this thinking. BB knows he’s giving that tip to Buffalo, and decides that the importance of that is less than the advantage to the Pats of taking it on the KO.

Results show that was the case.

As I said, if they don't score there, you'd hear an uproar.

But they weren’t going to run it.

That's my point. You're telling them you're not going to run it.

A pass has a greater chance of success if the defense thinks you ARE going to run it. It doesn't matter what you are going to do, what you know you are going to do. Making the defense guess wrong is half the battle.

And that’s why BB is the coaching GOAT and you’re an armchair Internet savant.

BB has never ever made a mistake. Never.

& by the way, he asked Josh to make this decision. Josh is the one who decided.

As a matter of fact I did watch the game. What is your point?
Does constantly *****ing help anyone?

Um, I was wondering how Ashley manages to enjoy the Patriots game while keeping on top of the GDT. Seems like doing away with the thread entirely would be easier and probably more rewarding. Not sure what else you're getting at.

Great point about the AFC South. That most definitely WAS Madison Ave trying to create a marketable GOAT (sometimes life doesn’t go by script, does it?).

Miami should been in that division with Indy in ours. But wow. Can you imagine 3 games per year of Brady-Manning????!!!

.

Or Baltimore should be. Then,H would probably have been fired years ago.

Best post of 2019

For a third time. The absence of deep passes is not proof that he can't do it right now. It is your speculation. Stop calling it a fact.

NFL asking Pats for emails and texts in the filming of Bengals coaches backs on the sidelines. This isn't going to end well. What a joke.
Why? I wouldn't expect anyone involved in the actual football to be talking to a documentary crew, and if messages and emails confirm that, it's a pretty clear case.

What are YOU getting at? You asked ME if I saw the game.

Agree, but how do they determine that unless you ask for Bill's phone, and Josh's, etc. This is more of the same from NyNFL.

It's en vogue to crap on the result of a logical decision and because of the undesired result, conclude the decision was illogical.
I would've said "human nature," rather than "en Vogue," but point taken.
