If they aren’t making it from 2 they probably aren’t making it from 1.
Taking 15 on the kickoff reduced the chances of them scoring. it was a smart decision.

I can't disagree with this more. A run from the 1 is much easier than a run from the 2. Down there, every yard is a struggle. We always see runners who fall on the goalline with a run from the 1.

Sure except the Edelman opi was a terrible call.
How so, Jules admitted he was trying to sell it when he dove and stayed down. It was a designed pick play.

He was running a route, the defender initiated contact and it was beyond the 5 yard chuck zone as well.
Intent isn’t part of the rule.

He was running a pick, pretending to run a route right into defender. He tried to sell it but refs didn't buy it.

When can we start talking about Chung? He has been weakest link on this defense every time he is on the field. TEs have been wide open against him, we have been lucky that some of the QBs we have faced have not been able to exploit him properly. Is Joejuan ready to step in? I think Tall WRs and TEs are the reason BB drafted him, unless he does not know the defense well yet.
I know he has been dealing with an injury for the most part this season, but BB needs to evaluate this position going into the playoffs. We can't give TEs free reign like that.

I never said they should have kicked the XP. I'm not getting how people are thinking I am saying they should go for the kick.

I'm talking about the penalty.

They didn't decline it iirc. I thought they chose the 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff instead of the 1 yard on the 2 pt conversion. It was to ensure no chance of a return - - that fella they had back there was fast and a weapon.

Blandino says otherwise, at least as applied.

Holy cow! This is exactly my point. You're telling the Bills, "Hey, we're going to pass the ball!" You're telling me there's no advantage to keeping them guessing between pass and run???
The Bill's didnt know that, they could have still run it and the way they ran it all day the Bills had to respect that.

Chung is the Eedlman of the D (health-wise). My son always jokes that he seems assisted off the field twice per game by the medical staff.

No he was running a route into an area that was likely to result in a pick. He is allowed to do that. He is allowed to run his route. It is not opi of the defender blocks the route, which is what happened. Look at edelmans movement, remove the defender and tell me that’s not a perfectly run route. Opi is when you abandon the route to make contact.

Intent can’t be judged accurately by an official.

That changes nothing about how the officials call things.

We're automatically buying what's Blandinos selling now?

Is it your position that Blandino doesn't know what officials are looking for when it comes to making OPI calls? Is that really the limb you want to go out on?

I thought he does quite well when Brady had the arm strength. He was key last year down he stretch and earlier this year.

I’m sorry, I just see a direct correlation to Brady’s arm strength basically eliminating the part of the field that Dorsett specializes in.

.

Dorsett has beaten his man deep a number of times this season.

Sometimes Brady hasn't had the time to make a good throw, other times Brady just doesn't hit him even with time.

Dorsett has been a decent option going deep the past few years. It's not like he's so much older now that he's not as fast.

Edelman ran right into him. Is the defender supposed to step out of his way to let him run his route?

Not sure why you continue to argue:

Here is the money shot.
73 reports as eligible and covers the end of the line. The next 5 linemen through 71 are the ineligible receivers playing an unbalanced line. 81 covers the end of the line. Everything is legal.

However, if the refs announce 71 as the eligible receiver, the Pats think the 5 ineligible linemen start at 73. In BB's mind, not only is 73 ineligible, but the Bills were in an illegal formation since 73 wasn't covered by an eligible receiver.

I don't blame BB for being upset.

Regards,
Chris

How many outright bad calls have we watched on Sunday only to have Blandino twist things into a pretzel on Monday to make the call look correct? He may well be right here, I haven't read the rule, I just dont trust him. If you do, that's fine.
