I'm excited for the bye week. Not just for our offense, but our defense, while playing great all season, has played an insane amount of snaps. I imagine that a week off will have them firing on all cylinders and strangling post-season opponents.

Our defense has been amazing this year. They have created turnovers, scored points, and gotten after qb’s like never before.

they need a great game against Miami and then we get a bye week.

That tool Jim Murray on the dopey and squeaky show picked the Bill's because of their awesome defense, best in the game the brain dead fedora said. Lol.

Plus, 143 yards rushing against a good rushing defense.
There are lots of positives. Michel ran well. Burkhead ran well. LaCosse caught a TD. Even Brandon Bolden had 75 yards on three kickoff returns. Newhouse contributed. Roberts contributed. Nick Folk went 4/4 on his kicks and hit a 51 yarder. It was a full team effort.

Going back to pre season I wanted burkehead traded , yet again , here he is performing well when he was needed...cant fault that

You are reading it wrong. It says a player with an eligible number reporting as ineligible cannot be within the 5 person box not that an ineligible number reporting as eligible cannot

You really shouldn't tell me that I'm reading it wrong when you clearly butcher it and say the exact opposite of what the rule says. Here is the direct quote for you..

Rule 5, Section 3, Article 1 NOTE:

An offensive player wearing the number of an eligible pass receiver who reports as ineligible must line up within the normal five-player core formed by ineligible players. The player cannot be more than two players removed from the middle player of a seven-player line

We have a situation where an ineligible player reported as Eligible and was the last person on the line INSIDE the "tackle box". As I mentioned, Harbaugh whined about this a few years back to the point where Brady said during his post-game press conference that Harbaugh should learn the rules. And then the league changed the rules.. That's why I was asking for clarification.

Jacoby Meyers catch (in traffic) in the 4th quarter was a peach.....he deserves more....by the way what happened to dorsett ? , I have only watched highlights but never saw him mentioned much if at all!!

Here is the money shot.

Here is the money shot.

Was this play legal? Belichick seemed pretty upset after it and so did the NE player, can’t remember who it was, closest to the OL who caught the TD. I’ll admit I’m a little shaky on the rules when it comes to the eligibility and ineligibility of receivers in the NFL

Him and Meyers have turned into WR4/5 together given the direction that the coaching staff is going with the offense.

From the snap counts it looks like we are -- to not much surprise -- mostly running Edelman, Sanu and then whatever the gameplan/situation asks for. Whether that is 12 (with pony sets like yesterday), 21 (power runs/play action), 11 (with mostly Harry as WR3 going into motion/ (ghost) sweeps) or whatever else.

On that note I really like how McDaniels has started using Harry. This is exactly what some had been talking about after the draft.

Happily last game showed us Gilmore is just a regular man. Otherwise Goodell would find out another scandal connected with using artificial intelligence on the field called "cyborgate".

Is "Down" really harsh enough to describe the ****show display that Sanu put on today?

I can accept him being invisible in the passing game. Sometimes that matchups don't work your way, but his blocking was atrocious. The failed 3rd down jet sweep and the 4-yard loss by Sony were both his fault. He literally waved at his guy on each play - just an unacceptable effort.

When the refs were mocking the timekeepers they apparently screwed up themselves and set the clock to 4:20 when the previous play started at 4:19.

Incompetence continues.

DMac has to cover the post. Initially looked like some kind of communication issue but after watching the replay I am not blaming Gilmore too much on it.

Absolutely. Gilmore has to cover the corner and the post on that. DMac had the post and had the primary responsibility of not letting Brooks behind him. He fell down on that one.

Now I understand that people are pissed at whatever happened on fourth down but you were expecting him to block Shaq Lawson 1v1 ?

And if his blocking had been consistently atrocious as many seem to extrapolate from the highly visible fourth down screwup then he would have not played essentially 100% of snaps on offense.
