sounds like the coaching staff really made it hard on Harry and he has responded positively. Which is a good sign. Means the guy is coachable, and we already see his physical talents.

I want details. Did they give him a blanket party?

I dunno about the 2018 health comparison. We had a healthy/active Edelman, Cannon(?),Develin, Andrews last year. Plus look at the difference in PR and KR at the moment. Paterson was a huge under the radar loss.

And, I would add, a 380 lb road grader at tackle, Trent Brown. I agree about Patterson--he almost took the opening kick off in the SB last year to the house. Amazing the game was an all time low score, and yet it almost opened with a TD return. he was stopped by the kicker.

Thanks for that. I just read his stream and I found him a very good read. He is quite a negative emoter about his team, but he went to great lengths to explain why before and during the game. He is actually very self-aware, so I can respect that. My dm favorite post of his was:
“His knee is broken, his brains are scrambled, and of course Edelman makes the big play. It’s exhausting.”

We do take #11 for granted here. There will never be another player quite like him.
.

He gets funnier deeper in his timeline... Calls us the despicable empire and other things. I think the Pats have broken him. :D

If the WR doesn't study the beta, go up the same crag and use the same cracks as the lead does and doesn't fight or use their brain they are left to die.

Ok, you’re getting too buzzed with my compliment:D

I'm not sure we take him for granted, but opposing players so. The fact that he has yet to get in the Pro Bowl is ludicrous. Without him, there would still be people doubting that Brady is the GOAT.

Health wise the team is in good shape. Not many key players on IR.

He can get another SBMVP instead.

only 3 snaps for Dorsett yesterday. Seems like Meyers and Harry have surpassed him.

Harry looks better each week. He will be our secret weapon in the playoffs if he is fully comfortable. Just get the ball in the guys hands. He has that "gronk" type ability of being hard to tackle where guys are just bouncing off him trying to bring him down. He had a couple plays like that yesterday where a short gain turned into a large one because guys couldnt bring him down.

The Dorsett thing, I think, is a direct correlation of Brady’s current arm strength problem.

I wouldn’t immediately put that on Dorsett. In reality, his route tree is outside of Brady’s current range. This is also why we are seeing the TEs being used more in the passing game.

Coupled with the fact he got hurt and Harry and Meyers Wally Pipped him

Just look at those last 3 SB winning games for the Patriots. There’s an argument to be made that if there was no #11, the Patriots won their last Lombardi in 2004.

Edelman to me right now is on the fringe to the Hall. If he puts on a repeat performance of last years playoffs he needs to get in without hesitation.

Not sure. Those guys are intermediate range WRs. Dorsett is really the only deep specialist.

It’s just not in Brady’s arm capabilities at the moment. I hope a bye week off will be able to make him an option again. Depth is good.

Other than the players on IR and the slot receiver being held together by a computer simulation and iron lung........

I think the TV announcers mentioned after one of his catches during the game that he had just surpassed Wes Welker for alltime Patriots receptions????

By Brady. Welker caught some passes in 08

I've never been sold on Dorsett as a legit deep threat. He just doesn't get the kind of separation needed and tracks the ball well. Plus he doesn't high point balls or win 50/50s. I was hopeful he could be a David Patten type but just hasn't materialized. Agree his speed game and Tom's current game are not compatible.

You really shouldn't tell me that I'm reading it wrong when you clearly butcher it and say the exact opposite of what the rule says. Here is the direct quote for you..

Rule 5, Section 3, Article 1 NOTE:

We have a situation where an ineligible player reported as Eligible and was the last person on the line INSIDE the "tackle box". As I mentioned, Harbaugh whined about this a few years back to the point where Brady said during his post-game press conference that Harbaugh should learn the rules. And then the league changed the rules.. That's why I was asking for clarification.
Umm can you read?
It talks about what an ELIGIBLE PLAYER REPORTING AS INELIGIBLE cannot do.
The bills had an INELIGIBLE PLAYER REPORT AS ELIGIBLE.

the harbaugh issue was because an eligible player ( Vereen and then Hooman IIRC) reported as ineligible put 6 possible eligibles in the field so the raven couldn’t figure out who that made eligible or not.

The bills did a tackle eligible which is common.

I thought he does quite well when Brady had the arm strength. He was key last year down he stretch and earlier this year.

I’m sorry, I just see a direct correlation to Brady’s arm strength basically eliminating the part of the field that Dorsett specializes in.

Ah, thank you!

So Edelman has over 100 to go still for the Patriot record. Gawd, Wes was an incredible reception machine.
