What about 49ers? Sign Brady and trade JG.

I can't see how you can be a fan of Team X if you are actively rooting for your binky to beat Team X. Rooting for your binky to do well -- totally fine. But rooting for your binky to beat Team X says you're a fan of your binky, not of Team X.

I think Tom ****ing Brady is well past the point of being anyone's "binky"

I'd take Cooks back for half of what he's making now

Makes senes. Should only have half a brain left after all those concussions at this point anyway.

getting rid of Amendola last year

They definitely should have paid Amendola 6m a year.

useless JAG receivers that have no business being in the NFL

The JAG receivers and TEs are getting open a plenty if only Brady would actually look at them on those occasions instead of heaving it up into double coverage to his BFF.

The tight end position is literally non existent, might as well put an extra o-linemen to protect Brady because we have to have the worst TEs in the league.

LaCosse look like a solid-to-good blocker now that he is healthy. Don't believe it ? Go check the film and just focus on his blocking during run plays. You won't find much to complain.

Why he is not used more in the catching game when he has not bad hands ? Gotta ask the guy who decides to throw the ball towards Edelman who is surrounded by 3 defenders instead of the open LaCosse in the flat ready to get a first down.

The lengths people go to absolve Brady from blame never ceases to amaze me. He can miss a wide open player on a bad throw and somehow it will be McDaniels or the receivers fault because it is unthinkable that Brady is a human being who also makes his fair share of mistakes.

And lets not even start about the absolute absurdity of thinking Brady is a football genius while McDaniels is an overrated fraud but for whatever reason those two seem to be happily joined at the hip. I guess Kraft and BB only wanted to spite Brady when they threw money at McD to keep him here.

And before you respond in the typical black and white fashion claiming I blame Brady for everything let me say no I don't. As has been stated multiple times this week this is about execution failure _everywhere_ and not at one position. But that also includes the QB.

Regardless, if you are rooting for him to beat NE should he end up on another team you are declaring yourself to be a Brady fan, not a Patriots fan.

Boy - I remember when this board would viciously mock Colts and Broncos “fans” who acted just like that re: Goober. It’s sure sad to see people here turn into (or reveal that they were all along) “fans” like those.

So what's wrong with that? What are you going to do Kill people for having a different opinion than you?
My own mother told me that she couldn't root for the Patriots if Brady is gone. Neither could
I. I will go back to basketball with my dad.
The Pats don't need Brady according to all of you. You have BB so the team will be just fine.

This times 100 I can see Toms decisions and confidence in where he can fit the ball has regressed.
He should trust the WRs who are here.
I don’t buy that Harry and Meyers can’t win 1 on 1 situations.
The kids need more faith and confidence from Tom.
I don’t want to stunt their development because Tom is sulking and rightfully so from now having his friend and Stud Antonio Brown.
Whether you blame Belichick Caserio McDaniels Kraft they are all to blame to let this offense turn into the joke it’s been.
Honestly at this point Baltimore deserves the super bowl hate to say it.
They took a chance and hit big with Jackson we passed on him.
That organization right now is perfectly in sinc.
Harbaugh comments about we had to make a decision then and there if we take this kid Jackson we build the offense around him.
They did just that that’s why it’s all working.
I don’t know what the heck our plan was the last few drafts on offense.
We knew Gronk could be retiring yet we did basically nothing to attempt to replace him.
Skipped on tight end in a few deep drafts made dollar store buys in free agency.
Drafted a receiver who doesn’t seem to match Toms strengths.
drafted a running back in the first who looks inferior to most backs who I’ve seen in the mid rounds as well as a few undrafted gems.

I pray Stidham is a franchise guy because if not we are so set back not to mention wasting a second round pick on Sanu who is 30 when we could of made up with Brown or signed Dez or Crabtree for free and I’d didn’t want Crabtree but I made it clear I didn’t want any part of Sanu.
This front office by stroke of bad luck such as our presumed starting tackle deciding he didn’t want to play receivers being cut left and right out of camp and OTAs that Brady didn’t spend all the time he could to get on the same page as guys.
These are front office mistakes as well as you Have to blame Belichick Judge and Brady for the WRs not developing.
Yet our friend across the coast Jimmy G looks like him and Samuel have been on the same team for years and Jimmy trusts him.
Only have 2 losses is a product of playing very weak offenses by our very good not great defense.
As we’ve seen our same concerns we all had on D which we Mainly Roberts High and Bentley in space and in coverage is still a gaping gap.
Buff started to take advantage of that and Baltimore drew up the blueprint on it which a team like Houston executed to perfection.
Does anyone Really think we beat Seattle?
San Fran?
I’m willing to bet we lose to Tennessee or Buff in the playoffs with the product we have been given.
For once Tom isn’t the solution he is part of the problem.
It’s a very costly expensive problem especially since we have squandered so much draft capital.

Glass half full side
If anyone can fix this it’s BB but he needs to take over this offense or at the very least work alongside Josh and Tom.
Bringing back AB would go a long way but I don’t think that can happen.
So everything needs to be re-evaluated everything player every position every play.
Go back to basics on Offense maybe we just let the kids make plays he’ll that’s what Harry has always done when the ball is in the air and he’s not getting the chance to display his strengths.
Next season will be a very difficult time for 90 percent of fans I will be in the 10 percent who will welcome and be excited by the many changes which are to come.

I am sick of Curran banging this drum. I used to like him but for the last year all he does is postulate dissention and stir things up. He has lost my attention.
You can be sick of it, but since it’s probably coming from Brady or Yee, you probably shouldn’t dismiss it.

Click click click.

It's just a bunch of presumptuous postering that will get swept under the rug as did with his "rift" bologna.

" and while the two sides smoothed things over nicely before the 2018 season,"

Rift gone.

Next?

Glad to see you finally admit you’re not a Patriots fan. Can’t say I’m surprised.

There's a lot of those types of fans. LeBron for instance has fans that follow him but they're not really fans of the team.

I don't know how big a contingent of these fans are in Patriot fandom when it comes to Brady, but they're certainly becoming clearer who they are.

I don't understand why anyone thinks that Brady would want to go to LA. He was raised in NORTHERN California. The only West Coast team that would have any interest would be his boyhood team San Francisco, and they have a QB.

IMO there is nothing wrong with rooting for the team and a particular player at the same time. Brady is someone special to me,someone who has changed the Pats organisation. If Tom retires I am fine with IT,if he chooses to change the team I am gonna understand his decision and definitely support him and his new team ( maybe except Ravens,Colta,Jest or Giants ).
However Patriots is and still will be my number one choince no matter what Tom will decide to do.

Brady will be a Patriot next year imo.

But we saw Joe Montana in a Chiefs uniform. So to me it’s not that unthinkable that Brady could one day be in another uniform too is it?

I’m with you, QM.

I’d not be surprised if Brady signs with NE. But, increasingly, I think the possibility of him being the 2020 QB is decreasing.

Maybe the run heavy offense we saw at the end of last season should have been our head’s up. There are still plenty of times that Brady is making the play. Dropped balls & poor protection have hurt the team.

To dismiss that Brady is part of the problem is blind faith.

Is it happening yet?

So many rules and regulations necessary to be considered proper Patriots fan.
I believe Joey from Somerville is caretaker of the Pats Fans bylaws.
