Defense is championship caliber. Been a while since it’s been better than the offense by leaps and bounds. Got 6 weeks to get it improved which is still a good amount of time to work with.

Would Brady showing up earlier to work have prevented Harry's injury?

You people who keep citing to that "shown up earlier" nonsense conveniently ignore that, for the second year in a row, most of the receivers who are playing in November weren't practicing with the team for big chunks of the offseasons.
No, but he would have had more time with him preseason. It’s not nonsense. It’s practice. You’re ok with Brady’s attitude at that presser? How does that help the team going forward? Probably the worst part of it is he couldn’t even show appreciation for the people who DID play well. He acted like a spoiled jackass and that helps no one no matter what the problems are.

maybe I'm seeing things (not unusual) but...when the Pats debarked pregame, Bill came off the bus first...had a sour look on his face...and then Brady debarked and I said to my brother "jeez, he looks pissed off to the max...like he just got served divorce papers or something". Didn't think too much about it until after the game and that body language he showed. Could be anything but he LOOKS pizzed off...gonna stay wired to the usual suspects and their twitter feeds the next few days...

One other thought is that it took 15 games for last years team to formulate an offensive identity. Once again we're more than halfway through the season and the offense is in a similar spot to last year.

I didn’t know you had a brother. I bet you guys raised hell. Send him my regards please.

Internet or otherwise, some of the backlash he gets is unfair.

Yes, he isn't a good player by any stretch of the imagination. That said, he's clearly doing the best he can to succeed - I don't think for a second that he's intentionally sabotaging the team or trying to play poorly.

All that said, I'm excited to have Wynn back.

Football is so funny. Two weeks ago we lost soundly and were kind of happy about it. Today we won and the world is burning.

Thoughts.

Pats need to work a lot on red zone passing plays.
The OL needs to block better all around and Wynn alone won't solve all of it.
The WRs need to do a better job in 1 v 1 situations
The Offensive play calling needs to be more imaginative.
The defense is still very good, they simply are not built to deal well with Baltimore. I believe they can adjust to and shut down nearly any other team in the NFL right now...except maybe SF which could be a problem.
The Pats need Harry to step up cause once Edelman is taken away they don't have a pass catcher who can win 1v1

I’m pretty happy, I’ll take it

I got stuck following the game on nfl.com while Bengals/Raiders was shown. After Edelman threw the TD, whoever is handling the play by play at that site must have forgotten to restore Brady as the QB. For the next several passes, it was "J.Edelman throw short right to M.Sanu for 5 yards", "J.Edelman incomplete to N.Harry", etc. I was like, WTF happened to Brady? AND STIDHAM, TOO?!?

Regards,
Chris

Solid win, Thanks for the thread ban weak minded fanboys....

D did well after first 2 drives...Brady was terrible....Harry pretty invisible....I thought Philadelphia defense sucked, which would explain all the 30, 35 point predictionS ..

So now we've seen Harry added to the offense and they scored 17 and resorted to trickery for a TD...so now, Isaiah Wynn is going to be the reason this offense gets back to respectability?

Pitchers and catchers

.

Sony is bad.

I love the win, I am more happy that the Marshall Newhouse era is over...I HOPE. Please Isaiah stay healthy.

With four of the last six games at home and one of the two away games against the winless Bungles, the 9-1 Patriots, who are a game up in the HFA race, are in the best position they have been in since 2015 and, before that, 2007. With only Dallas and KC having formidable offenses (and both have scored a few points less than the Pats) the defense has a real shot at breaking Baltimore's record of fewest points allowed in a season, 165. And as weak as Brady and company have been, they are a damn sight better than the Trent Dilfer offense that rode the back of the great Raven defense to a Super Bowl victory.

I agree with you. In years past Brady always took the high road, he never showed his displeasure with any team member or the team in public. I always admired that about him.
This year things have not been easy, this year our D is so much better than the O ( we don't say that often ), but instead of trying to work out the kinks, he is coming across as grumpy and his heart isn't in it. That's is what I gather from his media conversations. He always said he would hang em up if he didn't enjoy it anymore and so I wonder if that time is coming a lot sooner than we wanted .
This might not be the most talented group we have had, but it's whom we have, Brady has to deal with it. He needs to work more with all the WR's . Given a chance I can bet that Meyers and Harry will be great additions but the QB has to embrace them. Instead he says he doesn't trust rookie WR's !!!! What example is he setting for these young guys ?
I have always backed Brady and love what he has given our team, but he needs to act like the mature , kind. considerate man and QB we all know he is .
Last week the D was completed embarrassed in Baltimore so they made sure they had a great game today. Even though we won , the O was lethargic, let's see if they will come out and play with fire next week, they were the group that almost lost the game today.

Brady knows as Great as the D played Today. The O didn't pull it's weigh: if we played a Team with a competent O we would have came out on the negative end.

Why shouldn't Brady be pissed. The offense is a ****show right now. Below average run blocking, below average pass blocking, bad routes being run by young players, drops, poor throws.

They had two weeks

The line will improve if Wynn is respectable. Newhouse sucks and requires help. Simply fixing that requirement will do wonders. Mason is getting healthier too...

OTAs are only something like 8 days, and that's only a couple of on field hours a day. Not only that, but we know that Brady was working with Harry off-field during that time. If you're buying that 8 days on the field in June are what's wrong with the offense, I've got a bunch of bridges in various deserts that I'd love to sell you. In the past 2 years, the missed time has resulted in 1 Super Bowl and a 9-1 record, yet you think people should be pointing fingers at the G.O.A.T. because Jakobi Meyers didn't get enough "me" time with Brady? Come on, now.

I'm fine with it. He's right to be pissed after that performance by the offense, after all, and everyone knows it.

Sorry, but I'm not seeing the problem there. But, perhaps if the team still had AB, JG and DT, instead of rookies who are running the wrong routes in week 10, Tom would be giving off a happier vibe.
