I can’t see how the NFL will want both of these matchups to be on the same network at the exact same time. Keep an eye out for this here.

nothing they can do about it
all three of those games are prime time ready

We will get word about the Bills/Pats flex this tues or sooner.

I am hoping with the Bills showing today it stays on Sunday.

Yeah it will get moved. It just has to happen 12 days before the game.

I think it will likely just move networks but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the games move to 1pm on fox to give Fox a massive ratings night with the 4pm game

The Patriots/Cowboys game will draw larger ratings than any game that week but those are teams from Eastern and Central timezones. I bet the league flexes the Packers and 49ers game to primetime so more people on the West coast can watch it during peak viewing hours. The Eagles/Seahawks can move to 4:25pm EST and the Patriots/Cowboys stay put at 4:25pm EST.

Overall, I bet the league didn't see the 49ers as a winning club or they wouldn't have jam packed a day with that many great games.

Just move pats game to 1

:) The idea of flexing is to make money by having the best audiences in prime time. The NFL doesn't want to have the patriots at 1.

Move Packers Niners to Sunday night instead

SF/GB needs to be prime time. Pats/Cowboys are “Game of the Week” on Fox at 1pm PT.

I’m tired of stubborn networks holding good games hostage from being prime time matchups.

Sorry @QuantumMechanic it has been flexed to Sunday Night.

4 pm isn’t prime time.
Moving the patriots to 1 gives you 3 good games that don’t conflict.

Why would NBC want to give up the Birds game?

It’s a bigger spot for sure competing against less games, they aren’t moving that to one.

Because Niners Packers is a better game.
May be a better matchup to YOU, but the Birds matchup has playoff impacts as well.

I think NBC is doing well with their SNF matchups thus far.

They should. Having the 2 best games at the 4 is counterproductive.

Niners Packers might be the two best teams in the NFC lol. Are we sure the Eagles are even good?

Family Christmas party Sunday so ... come on Saturday.

We will know by tomorrow, game flexes have to be known 12 days prior. But there are a few things to keep in mind. NE/Dallas might be ruled out of flexing to SNF on the grounds that NE & Dallas have 5 prime time games this year. Although there is an exception that 3 teams can have 6 games. Would nfl waste 2 of the 3 spots on 1 game? Another rule that a team can't appear on NBC more than 4 times, flexing NE/Dallas would put NE & Dallas at 4 NBC games. So both those things would mean no flexing in NE or Dallas down the road

Flexing NE/Dallas would put NE at 3 SNF games in 5 weeks and on SNF in back to back weeks

Week 9 vs Baltimore
Week 11 vs Dallas
Week 12 vs Houston

and would put Dallas also at 3 SNF in 6 weeks

Week 7 vs Philadelphia
Week 10 vs Minnesota
Week 12 vs NE

nfl might decide against this in leiu of team variety and it's not like Seattle vs Philly is a bad game, like Chicago vs LAR next week.

I think FOX will most likely protect GB/SF even if SF loses tonight.

Throw it out there theory, NE/Dallas gets flexed to 1pm CBS. Look at the lineup for 1pm CBS that week

PIT @ CIN
MIA @ CLE
OAK @ NYJ
DEN @ BUF

Absolute ****e. NE/DAL flex there would give CBS an attractive game they could put in markets that weren't Pitt, Cin, Mia, Cle, Oak, NY, Den and Buf.

This move would essentially be nfl giving a triple header and every network gets a game

NE/DAL- CBS 1pm
GB/SF- FOX 4pm
SEA/PHI - NBC 8pm
