We will know by tomorrow, game flexes have to be known 12 days prior. But there are a few things to keep in mind. NE/Dallas might be ruled out of flexing to SNF on the grounds that NE & Dallas have 5 prime time games this year. Although there is an exception that 3 teams can have 6 games. Would nfl waste 2 of the 3 spots on 1 game? Another rule that a team can't appear on NBC more than 4 times, flexing NE/Dallas would put NE & Dallas at 4 NBC games. So both those things would mean no flexing in NE or Dallas down the road
Flexing NE/Dallas would put NE at 3 SNF games in 5 weeks and on SNF in back to back weeks
Week 9 vs Baltimore
Week 11 vs Dallas
Week 12 vs Houston
and would put Dallas also at 3 SNF in 6 weeks
Week 7 vs Philadelphia
Week 10 vs Minnesota
Week 12 vs NE
nfl might decide against this in leiu of team variety and it's not like Seattle vs Philly is a bad game, like Chicago vs LAR next week.
I think FOX will most likely protect GB/SF even if SF loses tonight.
Throw it out there theory, NE/Dallas gets flexed to 1pm CBS. Look at the lineup for 1pm CBS that week
PIT @ CIN
MIA @ CLE
OAK @ NYJ
DEN @ BUF
Absolute ****e. NE/DAL flex there would give CBS an attractive game they could put in markets that weren't Pitt, Cin, Mia, Cle, Oak, NY, Den and Buf.
This move would essentially be nfl giving a triple header and every network gets a game
NE/DAL- CBS 1pm
GB/SF- FOX 4pm
SEA/PHI - NBC 8pm
