Ravens take Championship Photo after beating NE

With these "championship photos" I was thinking to myself, "Jeez, act like you've been there before..."

Well, the reality is, most teams haven't been there before or very often (beating the Patriots). So, in some cases, it's like they've seen Bigfoot riding a Unicorn.

Last year, every team that beat the Pats lost their very next game. The Ravens have the Bengals coming up on Sunday, so that may not be the case. However, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes for Baltimore. After all, they did lose the Browns!

Maybe the Colts will sneak in and knock them off in the WC round like they did to the Texans last year. Would be a great opportunity to dust off that 1-0 flag they had last year and wave it proudly.

That game reminds me of the Eagles super bowl match. Eagles weren't afraid of our defense. Nick Foles wasn't afraid to pass against the secondary. Their defense played physical, even when we had Gronk and Amendola (a reliable 3rd down reciever). Eagles ran all over us and converted seven times on 3rd and 4th downs with absolutely no fear of getting stopped short with 3rd string RBs.

At least back then, the defense was banged up and Edelman was out with an injury. What was the excuse this time? Everyone on defense was healthy and huge upgrade over Eric Rowe and Jonathan Jones.

Edelman couldn't play well when he was double or triple teamed. Usually he can beat man coverage. He looked slow when he was double and triple teamed.

Ravens were a bad matchup. Greg Roman’s style offense went into Gillette in 2012 and did whatever they wanted against the Pats D.

Ravens have big physical CB’s that can match up with their WR’s. They also blitzed a lot, rightfully so against their banged up O-line. Brady looked like he was on “Dancing with the Stars”.

I think it was that the Pats are tired, beat up, sore and mentally exhausted.

On the other hand the Ratbirds were fresh, healthy, rested.
And you know HardBawl has been planning this game since the schedule came out. Plus 2 wks to perfect it. Gadget, trick plays ....

...and throw in a little too much "Boogymen" bravado/ complacency maybe?

On the bright side, it's good to have the "perfect season", BS monkey off their backs.
