There was an article today about Kraft Air, his private plane that flies the team around. The dude is worth literally billions of dollars. His payroll for the Patriots team is almost $200 million a year.

And he gets to the run n tug early to save Fifteen Dollars.

That's exactly what I thought. I mean there's actually an empty roster spot so why IR him? When Harry is ready to come back, just IR one of the bench TEs until you see what Harry has and give JG more time to heal. Something else is obviously up. Maybe BB is trying to break up Brady's little click. Who the F knows in that tomb of rumors.

I just hope this goes well and doesn't come back to haunt the team. The way entire WR/TE corps has been handled this season has been error prone imo.

However let’s assume he is completely innocent despite all that and it’s all a big misunderstanding. The hypocrisy is that he is not being judged or suspended by the league without due process. Antonio b should be afforded the same respect. He should be playing right now until due process unfolds. Why are you having such a hard time with that. If this weren’t the Patriots the assumption would be that there’s some serious dysfunction with the head coach, QB, OC, GM, etc. The number of players brought in over the last couple of years who have failed for one reason or another is almost incomprehensible. Just since the start of the season, AB, Thomas, and Gordon. Harry put on IR, though many wonder if he was being semi-red shirted. Brady’s comments about the younger receivers. Seemingly overreaching with a second round pick for Sanu, a WR who has never really been considered elite or pro bowl level. Watson released then resigned after injuries to tight ends who are seemingly horrible. Last year like 492 veteran receivers tried out and couldn’t make it, but it was the weakest WR corps in years. Decker. Matthews. A bunch of other former promising players. The whole thing just seems bizarre.

I guess when you look at each move individually, there’s logic and seemingly just bad luck with injuries, chemistry etc., but it is extremely weird. If someone came out later and said there is some type of power struggle over control of the offense, would anyone be really shocked?

That said the current WR corps isn’t that bad, and a lot of that has to do with the consistency of White and Edelman. If one of those guys gets hurt it’s going to be some tough sledding.

Couldn't agree more on the bizarre nature of finding WRs that are good and stick.

The really bizarre thing is that TB seemed to develop an instant friendship and connection with DT, AB, and JG. Now they are all gone. It's almost like Tom watched from afar what those guys did while he played with mostly avg guys (with obvious exceptions), and once they were here it was like instant chemistry.

Jules is the key though, w/o him team is screwed. He's Brady's outlet. That's why it's important to find him help.

What makes this odd and subject to speculation is that the team apparently cut Tomlinson, practiced, and then cut Gordon.

What did they see during practice that lead to this change?

The Pats knew they were trading Bennett so it would seem they asked Tomlinson to hang around because of that spot.

It was only a few hours. Something changed.
