Gordon to IR

I'm not buying JG release due to nagging injury line. If so, why has BB kept LaCosse sitting on the bench almost all season who is actually injured to the point he can't play. Why not IR him and free up a spot.

Something else is going on. BB is punishing Tommy for Schefter going on and on since Sunday about him not coming back next year. He took away his last new toy (JE is Woody) and shipped JG out.
BB took away Gordon?

Let's not read too much into this IR decision. Belichick understands that Meyers and Brady have found a rhythm, Watson will get more targets going forward, he's inserting a very capable receiver this week in Sanu, and adding Harry next week with a bye week to follow. Gordon's ankle and knee injuries left him hobbled and the odd man out.

Belichick doesn't care one whit how Adam Schefter gets clicks and eyeballs.

Gordon got dealt after they signed Sanu. Sanu is basically a known commodity the same as Gordon.

Harry plays no part in Gordon shipping out.

If BB only cared about winning, AB would be on the team. Clearly there are other priorities too.

Brady is going to miss Gordon not getting open.

Maybe he'll miss Gordon's NFL leading 18 yards per catch from 2018, and 720 yards in 11 games at 65 yards per game.

Interesting that bradys comments on gordon were very short "yeah it's a tough situation"
Then he went on to gush about sanu and his work ethic and how he fits in perfectly

Sanu is primarily a slot receiver.
Harry will play a role similar to Gordon.
Your statement is ridiculous.

From Curran’s part of his point/counterpoint column with Perry today:

“It’s because of those uncertainties. We’ve been talking around it for a couple of days: the dependability of the injured Gordon as he nears return from his injured knee. From what I gathered, Gordon was showing up late to things. He wasn’t blowing them off, but the fact he seemed to be trending towards not being on the details was enough to signal concern.”

Lombardi said similar things and mentioned showing up late specifically as well:

News is now leaking about Gordon bring late for meetings and generally his tardiness was increasing. Gordon was on a short leash. He has spoken last year how Pats was a tough place to work. He appreciated their support but wasn’t enamoured with the hard working culture. As his tardiness crept up and his level of play marginally deteriorated from last year, he was deemed expendable from that group of WRs to make room for Harry after Sanu’s addition. Brady talking about Sanu’s work ethic makes sense in relation to Gordon’s release. Pats have decided Gordon at this stage is not some seminal talent whose tardiness needs to be put up with especially when he can have substance abuse issues any day. They are rolling with their rookies, Harry, Myers and Gunner. Hope it works.

So that's that.

I'll bet he misses Randy Moss not getting open too.

Hey, I recognize that fat scared white guy with the forbidden sign in your new avatar. But isn't he supposed to have an orange face?

Yes they do.

Thats why Gordon is out in 2019.

I’m going to Gordon taking a 2 yard TB12 pass and trucking a corner for an 8 yard gain.

As I said head and heart weren't there for JG.

Seems like Brady does not have the patience to baby sit anymore.
