Miami's Chambers to Chargers

Because all we did was just create another hole. Marty Booker as our #1 receiver? Doesn't sit too well with me.

Maybe Miami will be the first team to refer to their receivers beginning at #3.

I doubt the Pats need these guys...

Thomas, no. But can you imagine what Taylor would do if he received a Death Row pardon? Look at Welker and Morris; those guys are killing themselves on every play because they're so freakin' happy to be out of that hellhole.

The hell hole that is Sunny Southbeach?

Well done, San Diego.

Regards,
Chris

You're going to think I'm being mean about this at first, but I don't mean it to be. I'm just being harshly realistic......

Your team sucks to this point. It's one of the 2-3 worst teams in the league right now. Your defense, which has been the cornerstone of the franchise since JJ took over, is collapsing with age and a lack of quality replacement players for those who've aged or moved on. The team needs all the draft picks in can get, and you just got a second round pick for a player who probably wasn't even worth a third. Whether it was Cleo Lemon or Trent Green running the show, you weren't going to get to the playoffs. The Dolphins moved a disappointing player and got better than deserved value for him. This season is already lost, so look to the future and hope that Beck works out for you next season.

Yup same as Welker.

Great move by the Dolphins to get a second out of the Chargers for a very overrated player. They drafted him with a second and get pretty close to full replacement value even though they'd been trying to trade him since the summertime.

Regardless this is the best reciever the chargers have ever had under this team with L.T. on it imo and is a great move for them. Im sure the dolphins will use that pick to draft a kicker or something.

BS.. Keenan McCardell is a MUCH BETTER player than Chris Chambers.

Wow, add me to the chorus saying that Miami ripped off SD. Athletic WRs who can't catch are a dime a dozen. Miami's season is over anyway so they might as well get any picks they can. A 2nd for Chambers? Insanity.

SD could have gotten Moss for a 3rd but instead get Chambers for a 2nd. Bravo.

I only hate the deal because, before we play them in the playoffs, the Chargers trolls will be saying "we didn't have Chambers yet" and they'll actually believe it makes a difference.

What does it say that I'm actually happy that Miami ripped off SD? I guess I don't view them as a threat anytime soon.

Without starting a pissing contest, I'm going to have to say that is going a tad overboard. Chris Chambers' skill set seems to be better than that of McCardell. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but I'm not really sure where you're seeing that McCardell is "MUCH BETTER" than Chambers.

When McCardell was in his prime he was nasty. Chambers completely wastes his physical gifts.

I don't think it's off-base at all to say that McCardell is much better.

McCardell on the Jags was in fact nasty, but that seems ages ago at this point. The argument here is McCardell during his Chargers years versus Chambers now. At these points in their careers I just can't see McCardell as that much better than Chambers.

I see your point. Let's call Chambers and the 62-year-old McCardell a push.

Yup same as Welker.

Even with the Chargers overpaying for Chambers, Welker brought more value back for the Dolphins, in terms of round value (2+7 vs 2). It should be interesting to watch Aqua's love for Chambers change the way it did with Welker.
