Anyone worried about Sony and the Offense being one dimensional when he is on the field?

The Defense knows we are most likely running when Sony is in the game. I just watched highlight of Christian Macafrey taking 76 yard run to the house. He is a dual threat and tougher to defend.

With the state of the O Line we are going to see a lot of Rex I think.

..or no?

First play next week... screen to Sony

Didn't we pick him in the first round for hid dual threat capability? I expect we will be seeing him more and more in this capacity over time.

Our Oline seems to not exist during run plays, multiple defenders in the back field.

Play action when he is in the game has been pretty good I thought. Yards per attempt not so much for the season on a pure rush analysis

Definitely. How can you not be when you have a bottom barrel tight end? Develin was a big loss today though.

I mean, the sky isn’t falling, but sure it’s a concern they need to work out, which they have a strong track record of doing.

They lost two great blocking tight ends in Gronk and Allen. That’s a lot to make up.

Or no ...

Rex runs nicely. I think it is because the D does not know for sure it is a run when he is in like they do with Sony. Need an overpowering healthy O Line when we are going with Sony.

They exist just fine on run plays for everyone not named Michel

Wasn't he in for the big play action pass that went to Izzo?

Did Harris even play a snap ?

And maybe the Dorsett TD?

And maybe the Dorsett TD. My memory is horrible. Lol

Good thing we have great coaching that understands how to use that to their advantage with play action.

I am starting to get a little concerned about Sony.

Not going to panic yet but it is somewhat concerning we couldn't get going against Pittsburgh and the Jets. The Jets run D has been pretty good, but Seattle and SF both gashed Pittsburgh on the ground so after the way we finished last year I'd have liked to see us continue that, especially playing with leads.

I am starting to get concerned yes

If it's too predictable that's on play calling. Good thing there are things to neutralize, like play action to punish teams and also screen passes .... Or the occasional shuffle back play....

Maybe they should call a pass for him
