Attention-seeking behaviour is very common among people who have little success in their lives and consequently suffer from low self-esteem. The twist in the case of the JETE fans is that their need has got to the point at which it is so intense that even public humiliation is preferable to being ignored. This introduces the question of nature vs. nature. I tend to believe the Jete attract losers because their organization/people they hire/way they perform gratify masochistic tendencies. Pain, frustration and despair are what Jete fans seek to make them feel alive. This also explains why they keep coming back for more despite 51 straight years without a championship. They feel assured that success will not intervene and mess with the secure reliability of their wretched existence.

This info from PFF was posted on JetNation to argue in support of Darnold. I post it here to demonstrate that PFF ratings are totally bleepin useless.

Darnold was the 11th highest ranked QB (68.7). Among those ranking lower were Cousins (67.1), Rivers (65.3), Mayfield (64.9) and Rodgers (53.4). Josh Allen was 25th (52.3).​

Was this once again over some totally random timeframe? His “QBR” for week one was 27.5. Thy love to cherry pick stats like no one noticed that he was completely useless and folded like a cheap tent.

Maybe this was a ranking just for the midway through the second quarter through the first series of the third quarter...whatever causes him to look competent.

You DO realize your team's season already is over, right? Five wins, max. Book it. Levon Belch will be beaten to a pulp by week seven and Blockhead Blunder Boy will have another mental breakdown. Just as I told you, now here come the excuses. The offensive line, the play calling, etc. Darnold was terrible...honestly I don’t think he’ll be THAT consistently bad, but it’s obvious this guy is a bust. Pretend, biased grading doesn’t change anything. Anyone who watched the game saw a woefully mentally overwhelmed quarterback whose mechanics are ruined, relying on poor footwork, being led by a foolish wannabe head coach who was literally the worst guy for the job.

I can pretty much assure you that Stidham will surpass Darnold in the next few years as Darnold continues to spiral downwards despite all the protests and fake hype/excuses, and selective PFF grades from fans. He’ll have a few good games now and then just to get everyone excited, but the writing is on the wall for his career, and he is going to e just like Sanchez minus the early team success. Stidham, on the other hand, is a more gifted passer with a quicker release and better accuracy. The only advantage Darnold has is more “athleticism” suited for a 1985 prototypical QB. That, and he played in an ideal college offense at USC, stacked with collegiate talent, whereas Stidham struggled with an overmatched squad, so naturally scouts blew the evaluations.

With the Patriots coaching and Brady’s tutelage, Stidham may last in the league for quite a few years if he continues to progress. Darnold on the other hand is being coached by a quack and is quickly losing all confidence along with fundamentals.

I didn't watch the CLE game but due to TV monopolies we had da Jete on our TVs here, and guess what: Da Jete Suck!

Sham Darnit had the ball for one and a half quarters with the game on the line and did diddly squat. Look at those drives for da Jete: 19 yards, punt, 19 yards, punt, 15 yards, downs, 1 yard, fumble. They suck!

Again, I totally agree. When he needed to step up and make a play, he showed no sense for the game, he just chucked up uncatchable balls when his team needed him the most.
