when is Cajuste coming back? Need him to replace Skipper on the roster

If Dante can work his magic on Skipper, he may be ok...one preseason game against backups isn't a very good sample of what he can do.......I like his size.....Haven't seen anything of Cajuste but like someone posted earlier, maybe it's a redshirt season for the rookie...

What the **** does this even mean?

It was a joke. Captain’s gloating posts on this site if he is ultimately correct x 2 would cause me physical pain. .

First, I think that the offense needs a 25th player instead of Crossen.

My differences

OFFENSE

RB: I think that we need a 4th RB. I don't want STer Bolden as my backup.

OG: I have Froholdt with Cajuste being on PUP. Belichick hasn't cut a 4th rounder or higher before the 53 was set, not ever. [DT Kareem Brown was cut after a few games]. I don't think that Froholdt has done such an awful job that he needs to cut. As an aside, I think that we 4 guards, given that one needs to be the backup C, and another is likely to be a backup LT.

Besides,Official Post Game Thread - Patriots Beat The Lions

TE: I'm sorry. I don't get it. If LcCoste is injured, you have us with zero TE's. I think that 3 is more reasonable than one; although I do carry 2 (probably kendricks) and have at least one on the PS.

WR: No one knows what the final situation will be. I don't have Myers, although he might beat out Dorsett. Also, I don't expect us to allocate a roster spot for PR, unless he could other things. So, no Olszewski for me.

DEFENSE

DT: I have Butler; I think that we need a 4th DT. Butler is a pretty good inside rusher. If Butler goes, I would rather have Cowart than Calhoun.

CB: I think that 5 is enough, no Crossen.

S/ST : I think that Brooks is the man over Ebner. He actually can play a bit of safety, and his contract makes him likely to stay. If Ebner is kept, I would think Obi would go.

ST note: I could see Calhoun make the squad instead of Obi.

My preseason week 1 53:

QB (3) T.Brady, B.Hoyer, J.Stidham
RB (5) S.Michel, J.White, D.Harris, J.Develin, B.Bolden

TE (1) M.LaCosse

Dante's magic usually takes more than camp and a pre-season. I have Skipper too, but it would seem more likely that Belichick acquires a swing OT.

I promise not to post another roster prediction until tomorrow...

QB (2) T.Brady, J.Stidham (Hoyer traded / released)

RB (5) S.Michel, J.White, D.Harris, B.Bolden, J.Develin (Burkhead traded / released - Bolden is RB4)

WR (7) J.Edelman, N.Harry, P.Dorsett, J.Meyers, M.Harris, B.Berrios, M.Slater (yeah i have 7...its bizarre...so isn't not having a better then average TE for the 1st 4 games)

TE (1) M.LaCosse

C (2) D.Andrews, T.Karras
G (3) S.Mason, H.Froholdt, I.Wynn (Froholdt starts at LG / Wynn backup LG & will start LT 2020)
T (3) M.Cannon, J.Thuney, D.Skipper (Thuney is LT / Skipper is Swing)

DE (5) M.Bennett, D.Wise, C.Winovich, J.Simon, D.Rivers (Rivers makes it)
DT (4) L.Guy, M.Pennel, D.Shelton, A.Butler

OLB(5) D.Hightower, K.VanNoy, J.Collins, S.Calhoun, B.King

CB (6) S.Gilmore, J.Jackson, J.Jones, J.McCourty, J.Williams, D.Dawson (Dawson deserves more time to prove he is more valuable then some here seem to think he is)
SS (2) P.Chung, O.Melifonwu (Ebner released)
FS (3) D.McCourty, D.Harmon, T.Brooks
ST (3) S.Gostkowski, J.Bailey, J.Cardona

Total players: 53

Froholdt can’t go on the PUP list(see the 2nd post above) because he’s practiced and actually played in a game at this point as well as not being injured or ill. I appreciate what you bring to these roster building threads mgteich, but that’s a pretty big mistake. Step up your game.

Yeah I don't get that either. He's not hurt and potentially could start at LG if he continues kicking butt (with Thuney moving to LT).

I think he meant "I have Froholdt {on the roster} with Cajuste being on PUP.

Perhaps, my style is different than yours. You might have tried to understand, rather than to presume error.

We were discussing our roster choices. On my roster, I do indeed have Froholdt (on my roster) with Cajuste on the PUP.

As for the TE depth, I think we could get by without a TE for four weeks with Develin, an extra OT, and our 6'3" receivers.

Additionally, Crossen shows up on ST's...a good indicator that he will find a way onto the roster.

Perhaps we learn this morning that we won't even have LaCost as a lock at TE for awhile...yikes...

What will be interesting is how our rosters actually shake out after the last Pre Season game.. :D

Are you referring to the OT that has been secured yet? We don't have that extra OT at this point.

In any case, we just added a TE, so my guess is that we will keep at least 2.

Yeah, I think we'll keep an extra OT even if we don't have a starting LT right now...too many questions at the position.

Not sure the new TE even makes the team. We only gave up a 7...we still have 13 picks including 3 in the 7th...

My “style” was to point out an error in jest. I apologize if it didn’t come across that way.

Looking at a Jets board, found out that their CB situation is very dire with bad depth to begin with and injuries. If we don’t trade a CB we may find that someone we cut will be snatched up by them and receive real playing time. Like their starters could be Keion Crossen and Darryl Roberts.

fair enough

I missed the jest; that happens sometimes.

My “style” was to point out an error in jest. I apologize if it didn’t come across that way.

The new TE is just one of many competing for the initial roster to play as our TE's for the first four weeks, or until some of the TE's are healthy.

We did just bring back Croston, who has be a backup OT before. So, we have the Skipper and Croston (and Cajuste who will likely be on the PUP list).

Karras being able to start at LG gives us the flexibility to move Thuney to LT if necessary.
======
BOTTOM LINE
It seems likely that we will acquire a veteran swing OT before Game 2, replacing Croston or Skipper.
