I don't think wining the Summer league championship was a big priority. They got to work with the newcomers see the development of second year players. IOW they accomplishede what they wanted with no injuries.

Isn't the Summer League the equivalent to the Patriots pre-season. Wins and losses don't mean a thing.

it would have been nice to see another game. I like what I was seeing from this years draft class. And time lord was playing really well.

The explanation is that the staff are professionals working hand in glove with the coaching staff of the team and are executing exactly the plan they were given. We have no idea what that was. Maybe they wanted to see RWilliams in a very specific use case. What I don't assume is that the Celtics front office just hired a bunch of idiots and then were hands off.

Winning is a mentality. First half, they weren’t trying to win. Bad shots, ball hogs. No movement. Very Kyrie-like. Summer league or not, more games means more time to showcase.

The question isn't the players but the staff. I don't think the staff cared one way or another if they won that game. For example, they explicitly went with a very small lineup through much of the second half even though it was costing them. A staff worried about winning wouldn't have done that.

i think the celtics are going to be better than most people think. They will most definitely be better than last years team. It's going to be fun again. Instead of watching that miserable kyrie mfer. What's funny is kyrie and KD both have two year opt-outs lmao. by the time KD starts playing like KD he will be opting out lol. And kyrie will be miserable and making everybody else around him miserable lol. it will be fun to watch the nets falling all over themselves trying to beg both of them to stay lol.
