Smart because of his D and tenacity is still an asset to a Team unlike little Terry.

In the era of 2 max contracts per team, paying a “no O just D” player $15 mill hamstrings this team and is $10 mill too much.
Nothing about Smart’s 2018-19 season was worth $15 mill. He was just a guy and rarely a true difference maker.

Between him and Max Contract Al..... Celtics were paying $45 mill for intangibles and pedestrian stats

A.) @borg , Marcus Smart is the heart of our team, IMO. He's worth every penny and then some. If a max contract is ~40M...Smart is well worth 15M annually. In addition, his FG% was waaaay up last year...see here:



B.) I think we are gonna love the second unit with Smart and G. Williams.

C.) Westy in Miami would be a problem....yeah he's a ball dominant who would be paired with another ball dominant player, but that is a significant enough of a talent duo to shake up the east.

Depends on Durant’s health. If he’s back then it’s the Nets and Bucks fighting it out for number one. If not, then they’re 3rd or 4th. I’m operating under the assumption that he will need at least a season. Westbrook vaults Miami into contender status in the East but they won’t have enough to take them over the top. They have no 5, a weak bench, and have mortgaged their futures.

For those that don't want to read the articles, he will hand pick a group of about 10 kids from Boston’s disadvantaged communities and provide them with MIT’s resources: “The goal is to build a scholastic bridge connecting from higher university to our low-income community, reconstructing our education system one step at a time,” says Brown. I've got to say I'm pretty impressed that a 22 year old is doing this type of work.

You know, I wonder why this 22 year old who is already working to expand educational opportunities in new ways didn't bond well with the guy that claimed the earth is flat?*
