You expect a UDFA to catch 30-40 balls, with zero NFL evidence.

On the other hand, you expect someone who has averaged 36 catches a year for the last 4 years in the NFL not to be capable of repeating this under Brady.

I believe that it much more likely that Inman would have 30-40 receptions than Myers.

Dontrelle Inman seems to be 20-30 catch guy. He had good QB’s (Luck, River) throwing him the ball. With no upside and no special team value, I’m guessing he doesn’t make the team. I think Jacoby Meyer makes the team ahead of him and catches 30-40 balls.

interesting..

I'm guessing this is less about getting another football job and moving his family again, than this being a pre-retirement kind of thing where he is looking to reduce his workload and take it easy. Scott has made a LOT of money over the years. I'm conservatively guessing over $20MM. So its not like he NEEDS a job.

He's in his mid 50's, so I'm guessing his family is pretty much grown and gone by now. He's also been on this football treadmill for close to 30 years now. Maybe its just time for break.

j-e-t-e seem to be set there

With the news of BB taking over DC . certainly a possibility

There isn’t NEWS BB is taking over DC there is VOLIN.

Meyers plays the slot. In the Patriot’s system it is a high completion percentage position. If he makes the team then I think 30-40 balls are within a reach.

Inman looks impressive on highlight video. However, it seems as if: a lot his catches came on broken coverage; he had 1 good season 4 years ago that boosted his average; he had good QB’s growing him the ball; he bounced from team to team.

I have no idea who will make the team. You make good points.

Man I can't get excited about ST I don't know why.
You need to be. Once they brought in McClellen and Humber the unit improved drastically.

Because those that play STs - and ONLY STs - are dime-a-dozen JAG wannabes who are worth barely more than the vet minimum.

I would much, Much, MUCH rather have ObiWan (or Christian Sam or Derek Rivers) & his potential than Brandon the King of STs Penalties and his utter worthlessness.
