TE Kyle Rudolph trade idea

If he's cut, he's making $0.00.

At this point with the Vikings having him out for trade for weeks I think we can all assume that his agent will kinda know the potential market.

He will most probably make less than 7.6m but saying there is any danger he will not find another team is silly. Otherwise he would have already agreed to an extension at a lower rate with the Vikings. From what I heard he is a locker room leader and deeply involved in various community efforts in Minnesota.

That's not what i meant o imply at all. I meant that he's making $0.00 in the negotiations. He will be picked up, of course, and for pretty good money. He's a solid TE.

I'm not 100% sure of that. If Watson is worth $3 million, 7.6 for Rudolph is not a crazy number.
It's not a crazy number. It's an insane number for a decent, but not amazing tight end. It's not far off what Gronkowski got.

My mistake misreading it then. Sorry.

Gronk was underpaid. Not a fair comparison. Gronk should have made 15 million per year.

So Brian Hoyer counts $3Mill on the books why I have no idea but if Etling shows something Stidham is alock bye bye Hoyer and good riddens. That money could go a far way in making adjustments for Kyle Rudolph money well spent if you ask me.

Hoyer counts $3 million on the cap because they gave him delayed guaranteed salary in order to not offset his 2017 and 2018 49er guarantees. He made literally minimum salary from the Patriots for the past season and a half. The savings are pretty minimal unless they can trade that guaranteed salary rather than eating the dead money from cutting him.

Another aspect of the JG trade that is usually dismissed by many. The amount of cap space saved because the 49ers released Hoyer.

Not last year.

Rudolph is ridiculously overpaid, which is why the Vikings are looking to trade him. It's a terrible contract.

Lacrosse I hope.
I have higher hopes for Anderson, too, although it would likely depend on whether or not they wish to keep a blocking TE or a move TE, as I’m under the impression that LaCosse is more of a blocker. I could be wrong, of course.

Forget Rudolph, I'm hoping they can land Gerald McCoy.

I wouldn't count on him for blocking duties of Any kind, according to this fairly in-depth report written post-Thanksgiving this past season:

Pros & cons to Denver moving forward with Matt LaCosse as TE1

I still have No Feckin Idea what Bill saw in this JAG-wannabe, dime-a-dozen (or more) stiff that convinced Bill to sign him so damn early in the free agent season for so damn much guaranteed money.

So, at the moment, most of the TEs look more like receiving threats than blockers, with the possibility that ASJ could be the best option as a blocker.

Watson, LaCosse, and Anderson all look like move TEs. Does this sound correct?

Well there is also Izzo.

Generally speaking I am not sure anyone but Watson has a leg up over anyone else in this group. Not even ASJ.
