I think people are sleeping on Matt LaCosse. There is no way he isn't making this team after the Pats gave him 500K guaranteed. Watson will be on the team too now. The question is do any other TEs make it. At least that's how i see it.

Damn straight it was!
One of the best football pays I've ever seen in 45 years of watching the game.

Was reading that Watson benched 535 in college and ran a 4.51 40.

That was a hundred years ago, but HOLY CRAP!

Yea that was the WC against the Jags.. I was at that game, great moment on that breakaway TD (my seats were in the endzone he scored)

edit: forgot they won 28... to 3

Very nice! That defense put on a clinic and were putting on another clinic in denver until we started turning the ball over :(

Still balling at 38. Wow

I think LaCosse should be heavily favored to be on the 53 based on how the team appears to feel about him (guaranteed $, multiple years). I don't know if I necessarily agree with the front office's evaluation of him, though.

I agree with you in that I believe the competition will be for the third roster spot. ASJ has the most upside, so most of us are putting him on our 53 predictions (myself included), but who knows?

Like everyone else, I'm curious as to how BW will work out for us. But I'm glad he's here.

I'm fine with Watson, LeCosse and ASJ.

Everything depends on ASJ.

If he shows nothing, then we can go with Watson and LeCosse, and one or two on the PS.

If he shows reasonable value, we can then go with 3 TE's or trade him.

If ASJ looks 100% healthy and a solid TE, then we could keep him Watson and ASJ. I find this to the least likely.

Personally, I think that the rest are competing for PS positions, which is a good thing.

hes not Gronk, but the guy had 400 and 500 yards the last couple of years and he has a history in this offense. At least we know we will have a tight end whom can make some catches.

We won the superbowl with Martellus Bennet as our tight end in 2016. If our combination at Tight End can give us in total what he did in 2016 I think we can manage.

That and that was an extremely horribly officiated game, lots of Denver homecooking that started in the 2nd quarter (thinking of the PI series against Samuel in particular). Wound up being forgotten because the officials somehow managed to lower than bar in that year’s Super Bowl.

Probably the worst officiated Pats postseason game of my lifetime (too young for the Raider RTP game), but this year’s AFC title game is up there too.

Watson was always an athletic freak.

Yea, EVERY call went denver’s way. Typical mile high nightmare game. Off the top of my head:

Bs pi on asante in the ez
Ignored more contact by john lynch on a 4th down
The touchback on the watson play
Troy Brown muffs a punt but was contacted before the ball hit the ground, missed penalty.
