Jamie Collins? Anyone? He is still a baller, limited but... is he not better than Roberts at least?

Kind of difficult to compare the two players, since Roberts is only costing about 2m dollars, and Collins is likely looking for 8-10m.

Also, Collins is obviously a much better athlete, but Roberts is probably better as a pure, downhill run thumper. He’s also more disciplined, which is huge in this defense. They excel at much different roles. As gifted as Collins is, his coverage skills are probably overstated. Just not seeing the value, but anything is possible.

He appears to have more natural talent, but there had to be a reason why BB traded him for a 3rd in the middle of the season instead waiting for compensatory 3rd. I’ll surprised if BB signs him.

Roberts isn't that bad anymore, and Collins isn't that good anymore.

I don’t think it will be that low. He was making 10m last year, wasn’t he? It could be half of what he was previously making, but that would still signify one major paycut, which would also mean that no one values him anymore, and that’s likely for a reason.

Any way you look at it, he’s taken a big step backwards.

“Deadline for prior club to send “May 7 Tender” to its unsigned Unrestricted Free Agents. If the player has not signed a player contract with a club by July 22 or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later, he may negotiate or sign a player contract from that date until the Tuesday following the 10th weekend of the regular season, at 4:00 p.m., New York time, only with his prior club.“

This year they NE could use it on some of their unsigned UFAs like:
OT John, LB McLellan, DT Shelton, RB Hill

John is visiting around and probably finds a club before, but for McClellan, Shelton and esp. coming from injury Hill could make a lot of sense..

Roberts is way better than what people think.

Roberts improved in all areas last year. Hes a perfect 400 snap a year guy/reserve player.

Ansah reportedly to sign with the Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign former Detroit Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah to a one-year deal, a source confirmed to PFT.

The agreement was first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Ansah is expected to sign the deal with the team on Thursday after flying to Seattle.
