He just can’t get open anymore... Good luck to him and hopefully this is a lucrative move for him with retirement fast approaching.

Doesnt really sound like anything lucrative. If this turns out to be close to the minimum entirely possible he doesnt even make the roster.

Stop

We aren't talking about Ocho Stinko or Donald Hayes here....

You guys still can’t tell when I’m joking.

Look guys, I didn’t want hogan to go anywhere, I’m not insane ok? All those doctors and psych people are wrong! I don’t care what they say but I do care what my brothers think. If you knew me, you’d know I hate anyone leaving to go anywhere but this is how it works.
Ergo, I’ve developed a defense mechanism where I start ranting about any number of subjects.

I was watching the entire game even after being down 28-3 in L1 I saw what hogan did. Now, any mad man could see that we lose that game without hogan so sure, I’m not happy at all about him, Amendola, cooks etc. how could anyone like that? Ok I don’t like it but I will continue dealing with stuff as I always have

I dunno man. You are loyal to the team and players but when you get a couple of beers in you, I don't know what to think.

I would have signed him back for familiarity the Pats are really hedging their bets on the Draft.
Where are the hordes of wide receivers trying out for our non-existent receiving corps?

He was a good signing for the Pats. Too bad that he and Brady didn't work well together in this past season. He is talented and very athletic. Good luck with the future.

Looks like Edelman should pass Welker next year in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns

Those TD numbers by Gronk... my goodness.

He and cam will work great together, I predict.

Bill Belichick explained to us on Wednesday the reason it was difficult to judge
college wide receivers. College passing offenses are very rudimentary. Pro
wide receivers are easier to judge because the passing attacks are more complex.
Unfortunately, the only experienced wide receivers the Patriots can afford is one
who still has time remaining on his rookie contract.

Belichick's missed on a lot more pro receivers than draftees.

Happy to see he is able to continue his career. Good luck to him going forward. Now they need to sign another dude to replace him.

They've already signed players to replace Hogan.

WR1/WR2 - Edelman
WR1/WR2 - ?
WR3 - Dorsett/Elllington/Harris
WR4 - Dorsett/Elllington/Harris
WR5 - Dorsett/Elllington/Harris

They need to sign/draft players to replace Gordon. And, hopefully, they'll draft a developmental guy for the slot. And, of course, Gordon coming back would be a bonus, for as long as that lasted.

One excellent, vastly unappreciated receiver and a bunch of cheap flotsam and
jetsam. The Patriot's commitment to their wide receiving corp is less than another
teams salary for their #1 receiver. The Pat's money is invested in special team players.

This is true. The gag is that I don’t know all that much sober. Your right though bro. Need to stop looking at odds then drinking myself into a ranting jerk.

I ask all you guys to forgive me when I start ranting. It’s just one of many flaws

I can't see Hogan doing much in Charlotte. He is slow and didn't show much ability to separate. Sadly his podiatrist wife won't be able to help diagnose his concussions when Cam hangs him out to dry over the middle.
Keep your head on a swivel, Chris...

  • BB paid Moss.
  • BB paid Welker for one year.

Outside of that, BB has made it pretty obvious that he doesn't feel that WR is an investment position, either in FA or the draft. TE is obviously where he'd rather invest.

Didn’t see him do much here last year

Is Newton even healthy to start the 2019 season? I even saw rumors claiming he may not play at all, similar to Luck a couple years ago.
