Well, there are many possible losses in the secondary in 2020: McCourty, Chung, McCourty and Jones. Even the likelihood of losing two would make this a serious priority this year.
I think you can pencil Jackson in as a replacement for J-Mac and Dawson as a replacement for Jones or D-Mac (with Harmon taking the single high role). And whilst it’s not one I’m expecting yet, if Obi can step into Chung’s Role, all the better. And of course, Crossen may step up in year two. I’m not too worried about the future of the secondary.

I think Obi is a free safety, I don’t believe he’s a banger, but he’s got great range. I don’t think they are going there but safety and corner look like great value at #32. I would trade back if that were the best option but there are a number of 2nd day safeties who they might be looking at.
There’s some excellent round two safeties but I do think the Chung extension reduces the likelihood of them taking a safety early. There are only two CBS that interest me earthshaking. Joejuan Williams, who we’ve had in for a visit, could fulfill a Brandon Browner function on the team and David Long is an excellent press corner with Patriot-like athletic traits. I could see him being on our board.
I didn’t realize Chung had been extended, and after another serious injury in the SB I started thing about his replacement. I obviously want offense in this draft, but I really like Rapp, especially if he is there in the 2nd.
