You're still doing better than me! Even with the new build I can't get it to display any specific measurables for any players in any way. The measurables tab does nothing; the thresholds tab does nothing; the launch RAS card button does nothing.
It's so frustrating because I can tell he's put a ton of work into the app and the info is all there somewhere, inaccessible! But I've downloaded multiple versions, and they've all been literally useless.
Have you watched the YouTube video he has embedded in the download page? It runs through the basics -- I don't know what you've done so far or haven't done, but it's a good baseline.
The old version was actually much easier to use. You typed in a name and got results. Now you have to change the drop down depending on which table you want to use:
The table for Player Selector is the best for quick, simple searches. Type in the name and press the Filter button, and you'll get a result. Then you'll need to click on that name and Launch RAS Card to view the details:
(For some reason "patchick" doesn't produce a match. Sad.)
Thresholds doesn't seem to produce a table. Instead, it lets you change the way that the RAS cards show up. For example, I added some thresholds for passing / best test results for DE. Montez Sweat now has color codes (blue and purple) based on those numbers I entered:
Measurements
should do what we've discussed above, but for some reason I can't find a way to delimit by draft class. It includes ALL years by default. Still, if you switch the drop down table to Measurements, click on a few parameters (I added ten yard split, vertical, and broad jump), and then press Filter, then you'll get the results in an updated table. The big problem is that even though you can then click on the headers to sort by year or position, you're still dealing with a rather large data set. The ability to pare down the results would be a fantastic addition, and I'm not sure why he removed the functionality compared with last year's app.
Last year's version, for comparison, when using the RAS Table Builder, I could filter out just WR with a 3-cone time under 6.9 if I wanted to see a select pool of prospects:
These players fit the criteria. I could scroll over to see the 3-cone, or sort by additional parameters to compare who is the tallest or heaviest but still able to show agility. Etc.
Sorry, this is probably more detail than you wanted. It's the consulting engineer in me coming out when faced with a problem.
