Hollister represents a H-Back option that I think the team desperately wants but the guy is so freaking brittle.

At NFL level being an "average Joe" is something good I suppose.

To me, outside of the occasional big move, free agency and the draft is all about adding competition to as many position groups as you can. It's hard to predict who will fit in and who won't, so I try to just view it as we now have another guy at TE and another guy at DT that give us another option (aka, another chance) to find the right guys for the 2019 version of the Patriots.

Trades tend to be where we see more "sure" things (not that trades haven't blown up on us plenty, but the track record is pretty good). Because if you're going to give up draft capital on top of money for a player, you need to have a better than average evaluation that the player will work.

LaCosse has good size, can run and has good hands...I guess that means someone will pay him Kelce money in his next contract after BB is through coaching him up.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear that LaCosse is doing some sessions with Dante. He's got the body to block, if he can get the hang on it he'll start making some real money as a career TE2 or poor man's TE1

I think both guys might actually be an upgrade over Brown/Shelton and Allen.... Pennel managed to play 30% of the snaps as a run down NT on a DL loaded with talent and LaCosta had more catches last year than Allen has had here in 3 seasons COMBINED.....(a guess)

Yes on the receptions but apparently LaCosse can't block so that may affect the running game.
