Ok how old are you?
Hes old enough to know the jetes suck, and have sucked for more than Half A Century. We're both the same age and the jete winning the SB is a distant faded memory. They sucked before 69 and they still suck.

I'm sensing some...

Yeah, that's how it works, the team with the GOAT coach and QB that just came off a Super Bowl win that no one expected is jealous of a team that is paying too much for a fat malcontent running back, an inside linebacker who can't rush the passer, and a second slot receiver while ignoring their terrible O line and marginal D line.

The Giants have all just come to terms with sucking. The Jets now believe they don’t suck when they do.

The author confesses to being a Jete fan, yet still wrote:
It’s been three months since the news was announced, and I still can’t get over the Jets’ decision to bring in Adam Gase as their new head coach. There were so many exciting candidates available, and the Jets opted to go with someone who’s fresh off three generally unimpressive seasons coaching a team in the Jets’ division. Gase’s calling card is that he’s excellent at working with quarterbacks, as evidenced by the fact he coached Peyton Manning to one of the best seasons in league history in 2012. But you know who else coached Peyton Manning well? Literally all of his coaches at every level. What was this QB whisperer whispering to Ryan Tannehill over the past few years? The Jets also made the troubling decision to hire Gregg Williams as their defensive coordinator, even though Williams hasn’t led a top-10 defense since 2005.
Ouch.

The Eight Teams That Have Defined the 2019 NFL Offseason says:
General manager Mike Maccagnan came into the offseason with nearly $100 million in cap space and plenty of motivation to use it. The Jets won 14 games combined over the past three seasons. That lack of success cost former head coach Todd Bowles his job in December, and if Maccagnan can’t right the ship—and fast—he could be the next one to go.
Pretty much the classic cycle of a GM who is on the hot seat deciding he doesn't care about the long term future of the team, he cares about keeping his job, so he ends up over spending to get mercenary 'name' FAs to come play for a bad team. In turn the mercenaries are (literally) fat, dumb and happy because they just got paid, so they aren't hungry any more.

We have proof of how pathetic the Jete situation is with Barr: He literally took less money to avoid playing for the Jete.

Basically the Jete have shot their wad and still will struggle to get to mediocrity, and then Macca will get fired, and then the new GM will fire Gase and Williams, and all these FAs will get let go, and then the Jete will have no cap room, so they'll suck a few more seasons, then they'll get their one chance at spending some money on FAs, but their GM will be on the hot seat, so he'll pick 'names' over needs, and the cycle will repeat.

Contrast that with the Browns who chose to tank hard over multiple seasons and establish a young core while retaining enough cap space to make moves when they became available, such as taking on Beckham, who is a name, but also has the talent to justify the name. It makes a lot more sense to add someone like Beckham to a young talented team on the up swing rather than Crowder and Bell to a team with no other talent.
