How much of us wish were Trey Flowers or Trent Brown just about now??
I would rather be Mike Trout. About to get 400 - 500 million. And he will actually be able to enjoy his retirement and old age.

He's saying Mo money mo money mo money!
This doesn't bode well for keeping Trey Flowers, there are too many stupid GMs out there. It is truly incredible how BB has been able to keep this team consistently winning while staying under the cap.

Patsfanken has explained the situation well in the past. In the NFL, the range in player talent is a smooth distribution, with the difference in ability between any adjacent players on that distribution, incremental. There are a few transcendental players, Brady, Gronk, Lawrence Taylor, etc., who are truly worth excessive amounts of money, but they are the exception. Many (most?) GMs think that in signing a good player to a huge contract, they have validated the player's greatness. In the end, their mistakes end up handicapping their teams and indirectly helping the Patriots. This doesn't bode well for keeping Trey Flowers, there are too many stupid GMs out there.
