2019 Combine

This is referring to the 2015 to 2017 drafts, but still worth noting.

In the last three Combines, I tracked 84 players that met with the Patriots. They drafted one—Tre Jackson.

So who, in particular, should I be focusing on today (OL and RB)? Nice Patriot fits please.

I'd rather go Jackson/Rypien Mid-Late than anything early. Like a lot of guys but not wow'd enough particularly w Brady playing at a high level w the lack of talent around him.

Jackson has a rather cool spiderweb

35” arms on Lawrence to go with 342 pounds. Sign me up. That’s planet theory territory.

Oliver size issues can now be dismissed - Basically 6'2 and 290lbs

The arms are the only problem for me. He’s limited to a 3-tech only really - I don’t see him playing on the edge or as a 5-tech type with those arms. But he’s Aaron Donald size so I don’t see teams being too put off. Top 10 pick I imagine.

I think Atkins might be a better comp, almost identical size & expect Oliver to test better.
I actually disagree & think he brings a ton of versatility. Houston did him 0 favors lining him up head on, at the nose way too much. Move him around a bit from 3/4i, shade & shoot. Let him develop & not be the focus of every game plan.
Hes the one guy that if he fell to Derwin territory Id be ok w a slight trade up.

Houston often played him at NT for some reason, which didn't help him at times. I think he can play DE in a 3-4 but not 100% sure, and definitely DT in a 4-3. Will need a big body next to him though. He's so explosive in his first step and his Hands are violent. I had him as my number one prospect throughout the draft as his upside could be the biggest out of every one in this years draft.

He will blow the combine up. If he falls in the range of 15-20 i'd be happy to trade up for him. He's underrated in the run game i feel too. nearly always faces two man teams that block him and at times i've seen three on him. He's a game wrecker.

My Comp for him is Donald/Cox/Atkins type guys.

Nice arm length for Zach Allen

Garrett Bradbury has the first sub 5 second forty for the OL. 4.95 and 1.74 10 split.

Joe Jackson came in at 275. Wow! Thought he'd be 255. Maybe he knew he wouldn't run well and needed to show he could be strong base end? I like him though.

Garett Bradbury looks terrific in these drills. Ryan Bates has stood out too.

Bradbury's tape is a blocking clinic. Love Andrews but Bradbury is perfect for us. Only problem is I doubt Bill spends that much for a C but after all the late/udfa hits I guess you could say that about any position

He should be iol #1. Or at least he's mine.

Judging by draft twitter and DJ, that looks like a good bet. I presume he’s an OC only at 304?

I’m still intrigued that we’ve shown interest in a centre the last two drafts.
