So the comp picks, taken together, are the equivalent of the Pats having five picks in the first three rounds, and three picks in the second. Sounds good.

Pats cap management and use of comp picks has continued to be part of what separates them from other teams. Pick up players like Brown for a mid round pick. Use him for a year on a cheap contract then recoup whatever was paid in a comp pick the following year. Hopefully they can have another draft like 2015 and pick up a couple studs like Flowers and Mason with their bounty.

It's very enjoyable to see the Pats get a 3rd round comp pick for the loss of Malcom Butler. It more than makes up for the Bears' 2nd round pick that ended up much worse than expected.

Florio needs to stick to straight reporting, because he has some of the stupidest takes in sports. The rich don't get richer when they lose high production players and replace them with mid to late round draft picks.
