Going to the Super Bowl

“I urge you to do anything you can to go” followed by a story about your Certified Public Accountant isn’t super inspiring. People have bills to pay, family to care for, and monthly incomes that don’t add up to a hotdog at a concession stand at the Super Bowl. Understand privilege.

How's up for Super bowl 2019?

We are about 20 minutes out at the hotel. Be there around 1:30ish

I borrowed a ticket for the NFL experience and am in a long line to get into it.

Will come to the garage (right?) once I am done. Maybe around 3?

We are here. We don't gave a lot of food just bought small amounts as it's just me and my brother. But anyone is more than welcome to stop by and we'll share what we have!

Yep top level

If you bring food we'll cook it!

Bummer man! All my snacks got thrown away at the NFL experience security.

It is pretty cool inside. In line to get a pic in front of the Lombardi trophy.

Most of the Pats gears sold out. Lot of Rams stuff inside the proshop.

Inside this NFL experience I see other fans too but nearly 80% are Patsfans.

What % are neutral within the stadium? Because it sounds like they are Rams fans.
If it's like most years, the stadium is roughly 50-percent neutral and 50-percent partisan fans divided between the teams. So crowd noise seldom gets really loud.

From my nosebleed section about 100 here so far. I see 4 that are not wearing pats gear...this is a pats crowd right now.

If jersey are any indication, it’s about 30-1 patriots fans to rams fans. Feels like a freaking home game

Those with the capability, please post photos here!

Update - I was also in the game. Crazy turn of events as I was never planning to. Ha-hah.

I was going to join mcolby at a tailgate nearby while my girlfriend and one of our site members (NoelGallagher screename - now hopefully a good friend) go to the game based on two tix he purchased last morning. I declined to buy thinking I will try my luck later.

He (Noel) gracefully suggested that I take his tix and do the NFL Experienxe with my girlfriend so that I can at least soak a bit of the atmosphere and the happenings. It was only for ticket holders on Sunday. He had seen it the previous day and said he can hang around no big deal.

So, plan was that I return around 3 pm and give the tix to him so that he can go in to the stadium.

Well, after having a nice time at the NFL Experience, imagine our horror when the security said I cannot exit and no reentry was possible and that have to go to the stadium. I was in disbelief and ran around to different security personnel and the NFL ticket resolution place pleading that I need to step out and as i need to pick up something urgent.

No way.

All said that rules were changed that morning and that entering that NFL experience yesterday was the same as entering the stadium and that tix has already been scanned.

My gosh. Imagine my agony of telling the new friend that his assumptions on reentry now don’t hold good and worse, he cannot enter the game with the ticket he paid for!

So we scrambled and he was extremely lucky to find a single tix online for slightly above the price he got the other two this morning. and quickly snapped it. We agreed to split the difference. Prices shot up immediately and we were in stark disbelief at the turn of events and emotions.

As a result, ended up watching the game live at the stadium. :D

First three quarters were torturous and after seeing Chung go out, i was wondering what luck I had to have to suddenly pay so much for a ticket and watch this.

But faith in our Team prevailed and was in ecstasy to see us win it.

My first SB and another win for us!! Yippee!!!

Whew!! Throat is so hoarse shouting Brady and Defense.

Go PATS!!

This is so Goodell's NFL.

Im really thankful for this thread. It inspired me to get off my ass and just go. It was an experience I will never forget. Going to the Super bowl for me was a bucket list item, if I ever did make it I did not expect to be fortunate enough to go when the Patriots were playing in it.

Just a great freaking time. My nerves were shot going through three quarters as well.

From where I was sitting, it wasn't so much that the offenses were playing bad, both defenses were just playing that good.

Anyway, what an experience. It was a home game for the Pats. Not 60/40, or 80/20, or even 90/10. It was the ratio I have seen in Foxboro.

I know they liked to show it on the screen like there were an equal number of fans from both teams. Not even remotely close.

So glad I got to go and thankful to this thread for giving me the kick in the ass I needed to get off the fence and go!!!!

curious minds inquire, how much did yall end up paying for the tix?
