It's easy, and only takes a few moments. The ref stands over the ball to give them time to change personell. Was that the correct ruling? How much time does the defense get to substitute to respond? I guess if we don’t give them enough time it’s delay of game?
Is there a specific amount of time? The ref stands over the ball to give them time to change personell.
Of course it mattered. It was less than 5 to go. Snapping would have got a 12 men on th e field and a 1st down.It didnt really matter because we wanted the extra 5 yards anyway.
Should have gone for it if that were the case, can’t punt fourth and one around the 45.It didnt really matter because we wanted the extra 5 yards anyway.

Punting was the right move.Should have gone for it if that were the case, can’t punt fourth and one around the 45.

It’s unreasonable to expect a 12 men penalty when you run 11 guys on and they do the same by do it slower
Clearly the ref will not allow a snap until the guys trying to get off the field do.
If that were the case you could get the penalty every time because you decide to switch. They can’t be as fast responding as you are doing. To me, that's the point. The Patriots did it quickly and efficiently, as a way to put stress on the Chiefs to do the same. If the Chiefs can't respond quickly, the Pats deserve to be rewarded for their work here. The refs shouldn't protect the Chiefs from their own lack of preparation and/or execution.

The rule says he has to give the defense time to get on/off the field. If we wait too long and the play clock expires the ref shouldn’t ignore that responsibility.I think 12 men on the field can be challenged. If so I’m sure pink stripes would let BB know and our drive would continue. It’s unreasonable for the ref to hold the ball until the play clock expires.
