Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Chargers

The team played the second absolute complete game of the year. Just right after they did it for the first time against a vacation bound Jets. Maybe we can finally put that "they come out flat after BYEs" ******** narrative to bed as well.

The offense keeps looking more like what we are all used to, the defense continues to play damn well and ST are back to being a strength after a slower start. We are going absolutely hot into Arrowhead to silence those ****ers.

Bring it on.
Agreed about ST's especially! For all the BB GM failure talk, signing McClellan will disappear into oblivion. He and Humber have helped to bolster that unit.

Let Brady be 'just OK', that's fine. He can be just OK next week as well if we win by 10+ points.

Otherwise, the Chiefs will have just underestimated the GOAT.

Great game by the Patriots but at least half of their success was due to the Chargers not being ready to go.

Delay of game penalties and blown assignments. King who is their best CB looked lost. I'm not saying the Pats didn't play a great game but when you go up 35-7 it is cause the other team is screwing up too.

The Chargers are better than this and it should have been more competitive. All that being the case I thought the Pats were the better more balanced team and that the Chargers had some weaknesses to exploit. That showed today.
Pretty much the same as the reason K.C. looked so dominating over the Colts yesterday.

I just spoke to a good friend of mine-he admits he hates the Patriots- absolutely foaming at the mouth over the “one sided officiating” all the missed calls on Patriots- saying there was “brutal hits” on Rivers that went uncalled....
LA- 5 penalties for 33 yards
NE- 9 for 75 yards.
Yeaaa. We won because of the Refs.

There were missed calls, but game was 38-14 at one point. Thats not refs.

Does this good friend football much? lol
I ask because while there were a few pretty brutal hits on Rivers but brutal hits aren't all illegal...at least not yet.

A friend of mine thinks your friend doesn't know football

I was pretty worried about certain posters who disappeared for most of the game but they came back in once the chargers started scoring in garbage time so I think the GDT roster is healthy heading into the AFCCG.

What about the fair weather fans who called the season over a few weeks ago? Are they back on the bandwagon?

That was a fantastic win by the Pats. Great all around win. Yeah the defense slipped up a bit in the 2nd half but the game was already over by then and it was pretty much garbage time points piled up.

I like how the pundits who declared 'the dynasty is over' and 'Brady is washed up' now have to eat their words. Let's see if we hear any mea culpas. Skip Bayless is the only mediot who gives the Pats a chance to win, and that's mainly cos of his man-crush on Tom Brady. But at least his man-crush is justified. Brady shows again and again that he is the greatest of all time at the QB position.

Hey how about we give some credit to that gameplan and Sony Michel. He really gave our offense a jump start, over 120 yards and 3 TDs on the ground. Looks like that pick worked out.

That almost makes up for the bad defensive backs we keep taking in the 2nd round. But I guess undrafted JC Jackson kinda makes up for our whiffs in the draft somewhat.

So much for Brady was the worse of the 4 remaining AFC QBs (he was the best):

Brady: 77%, 343 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 107 RTG
Mahome: 66%, 278 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT, 85 RTG
Rivers: 49%, 331 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT, 81 RTG
Luck: 53%, 203 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 79 RTG

He schooled the mediots. Two more baby to SB #6

Adding the NFC guys, Brady over all 6:

Brady: 77%, 343 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 107 RTG
Dak: 63%, 266 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 99 RTG
Mahomes 66%, 278 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT, 85 RTG
Rivers: 49%, 331 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT, 81 RTG
Luck: 53%, 203 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT, 79 RTG
Goff: 54%, 186 yds, 0 TD, 0 INT, 74 RTG

He’s a football fanatic- been a Jaguar fan since the franchise began, actually was an employee of the team for some time, not a stupid guy, just blinded by Patriot hate.
