Report: Ravens want the world to know they’re through with Flacco

Cutler got the to be the starter.
Yeah, because of injury. That type of opportunity could certainly be out there for Flacco if he waits for it. Like I said, no ones first choice.

I would agree that if he signs with no one and waits for tragedy and desperation he might get a better payday if that ever happens.

If the giants don’t want to pay Eli next year they could probably save a lot of money by getting rid of him and starting Flacco. The giants can compete next year if they hit on a couple of draft picks and make a couple of good signings

I disagree. Former Sb winner has nothing to do with it. He is nowhere near the sane player. I do not believe there is a team in the NFL that will pay him starter money. I think 5 mill is typical for an aging veteran you being in to be your backup hoping he never plays. I could be wrong about exactly what that job pays but my point is I do not see any team signing him as a starter at starter money.

Aging veteran? Ryan is the same age, Rodgers, Smith, Rivers, Ben, Eli, Brees, and Brady are all older. They all make over $20M except for Brady. Tannehill makes 19, Bortles and Keenum make 18. Dalton makes 16.5, Taylor makes 15.25 for Gods sakes. You don't think someone will pay Flacco 15?

Just stop.

No. I don’t. You are comparing him to better players who have not clearly and substantially declined.
He is being cut to make room for a guy who can’t throw the football. What does that tell you?

Give a job to a QB on shaky ground right now, & you also have to answer Colin K. questions.
Do we really though? The situation is what it is at this point. And now Colin hasn’t played football in two years.

Yes.

Not really, but you have to look at it from the other teams' perspectives as they consider who at that position would be available.

Then you really haven't been paying attention to Flacco's production in recent years. I ain't going to defend Tannehill who is a really mediocre at best QB. But Flacco has been just as bad.

I would say Tannehill is a solid back up and a below average starter. And that is exactly what Flacco is right now. Tannehill in recent years has had a better completion percentage, yards per attempt average, and TD to INT ratio than Flacco. Flacco may have more yards but that is because he passes so much.

I'm guessing that Flacco is injured. Why else would Harbawl leave that stiff in when it was clear he was in over his head? Even you would have to agree that Flacco would have been a better choice.

If Flacco is healthy, which I understand he is, why wouldn't a team that had all the ingredients except a top QB trade for him? They only have to pay a couple years on that contract and wouldn't they need to pay that for most starting QBs anyway?

Because if you have all the ingredients except a top QB before trading for flacco, YOU STILL HAVE ALL THE INGREDIENTS EXCEPT A TOP QB

Flacco was cleared to okay weeks ago.
He left Jackson in because Flacco hasn’t played in months and hasn’t played well in years.

There were 18.5M better reason$ why Flacco stayed on the bench

"He's the best quarterback in the history of the Ravens no question. That's not even just cause I'm biased; that's just a fact."

Real quote from Harbaugh posted today on nfl.com

So you think Flacco couldn't have done better than Jackson?

I think you or I might have done a better job than Jackson...until we got hit.

There's no way that Flacco would have sucked as badly as Jackson. That isn't possible.
Sure it is. Just a different kind of sucking.
Like 56 passes and 9 points vs Cleveland this year.
Or 8/18/28 last year vs jville.

Please show the games where Flacco has completed 3 passes and had zero first downs through 3 quarters.

I'll wait.

Games are 4 quarters. I just showed some terrible ones.
I imagine the 8/18/28 probably fits right in.
