Wild card weekend game thread: Colts @ Texans

Even so, I have to tell you, I HATE empty backfields on 3rd or 4th and short. I don't see what you gain - and hate it more when the Pats do it while having the 3 versatile RBs.

The Pats also don't have an athlete like Watson as their QB. Going empty to spread the other team out to have the option to run it for a short first down is not inherently bad. At least to me.

Dear AT&T. Your commercials are worse than not ok.

Edit: But better than listening to this BSPN crew.

Not built for 16 play drives. We need to get explosive plays.

WHAT KINDA TEAM IS THIS?

HeH, my wish came true :D

Great blitz ......... not.

There is a parody twitter account.......

Bogger: that thing needs it’s own twitter account

Just WOW

The Colts are playing indoors. The temperature probably won't be as nice if they play at Gillette.

Not sure how that works. did Art Modell sell the Browns name to Al Lerner even though they were the Ravens.

As part of the settlement with the city of Cleveland’s lawsuit, Modell agreed to leave the Browns name and franchise history with the city. That left Lerner free to adopt it as part of his expansion franchise free.

An interesting side note, before choosing the Ravens name, Modell reached out to Robert Irsay (i believe he was still alive) and offered $5m I believe for the rights to the Colts name and the pre-1984 franchise history. Irsay declined; or I believe he countered with a much higher amount and Modell didn’t want to pay it so abandoned the effort.

Lol..Have the Colts punted yet?

If you mean the national championship game on Monday...they are unfortunately

Lol what idiots! I heard the ESPN coaches room for the national champ game was universally praised.

Ah yes. I remember the Browns name agreements.

Never knew about the Modell Irsay inquiry. Interesting
